F7U-3 Cutlass VF-124 U.S.Navy 1:72

Recommended Posts

Hello mates!

This is my Fujimi 1:72 Model of a VF-124 F7U-3 BuNo 129587 D409 built in 1993.

I polished the glass and not another one had to bite the dust but me.

I never made pictures until today

Cheers,

Thomas

Very nice indeed.

Cutlass was a very pretty airplane. I like this machine very much from the time about 50 years ago when I've heard about it first time...

Cheers

Another very nice model, Thomas- I have come to expect no less from you. Definitely one of Fujimi's better jet kits, IMHO. I have the F7U-3M and the F7U-3P...you  might have inspired me to give them a look-see.

HI there,

a beautiful model, but that is the norm with you! Congrats!!!

I am not a great fan of the US Navy NMF period, but hey, it is still US Navy!

Superb

Superb built and finish of a great looking jet there Thomas.

The Fujimi Cutlass is still the nicest kit I've built I reckon, in its day it was unbelievable and still beats many new kits in detail and buildability. I built all three of the boxings.

Nice-looking Cutlass you've done there Thomas.

I built several of the Fujimi kits many years ago, and its a super little kit- in fact i'd say its one of Fujimi's best efforts- but the combination of the tall nose gear strut, drop tanks and slats makes the "end game" kind of tricky... especially if its painted in a delicate natural metal finish.

Have you seen the film footage on Critical Past.com, depicting the Cutlass recoveries, culminating in the infamous crash? Its actually very interesting to watch.

Thank you guys!

I am happy that you like my old model too!

It was oldie Rub`n Buff and Mr. Metalizer Alu and Steel used for NMF. And polishing, polishing, polishing.....:)

Cheers,

Thomas
