And to follow Steves car door, here's my earlier issue, from 1959.

A bit of paint trouble was overcome. The code transfers cracked a bit on application and could do with a touch up at some point. I'm done for now though.

I present the Anatra DS Anasal (F312), from after the company folded, released under the "Red Star" label:

IMG-7842.jpg

The pilot is from a WWI set. I'm not particularly happy with him, so this is just a guest appearance:

I replaced the struts and wire wheels; the WIP has all the grisly details!

Thanks for looking,

Adrian

This was fun! My first Frog build ever! A Hawker Hurricane, dressed up as Karel Kuttelwascher's JX-E, based on an Arma profile and decals. Arma also donated the fuel tanks and spinner, and AZ generously contributed the main wheels and canopy.

F153 - 1/72 Miles Magister (converted to Mk.1)

This represents an early Mk.1 Magister, used for aerobatics at the Central Flying School in 1937.

It utilises aftermarket conversion parts and decals by LF Models.

The Build Thread is here, if you would like to see the surgery !

This is my attempt at the old Frog Westland PV.6/Wallace. I had originally intended to convert it to a Wallace in RAF service, but in the end built it as the PV.6 which was part of the Frog Trailblazer series as it was one of the two planes involved in the Houston Everest Expedition. Here is a link to the build thread.

Other than a few improvements to the cockpit and adding exhaust pipes and rigging it was OOB.

The fit was actually pretty good so it was quite an easy build.

This is my Frog Vimy which was originally released in the Trailblazer series as the plane used by Alcock and Brown to cross the Atlantic. Near the end of their existence Frog issued a modified version supposedly representing a normal Vimy bomber and I bought one of these later "modified" mouldings many years ago. However I found that the changes Frog made only went part of the way towards representing a bomber and a fair bit of work would be needed to do the job properly. Paul Thompson kindly provided me with details of his conversion and I had every intention of having ago, but as explained in my build thread circumstances meant that in the end I took the easier option and just converted it back to the original moulding.

Other than a few modest "improvements" and the blanking off of the fuselage windows and gun positions it is pretty much OOB.

It came out better than I expected. I should really have rigged the area around the engines as well but it was too much work for my shaky hands, and I have missed out the double wires and control runs, so it is just an "impression" of the rigging, but better than nothing.

Thanks for the GB you Mods.  I have another FROG or two in the stash but I think I will crack on with other GB.  So many on the horizon!

Oh dear, I'll be getting a bad reputation at this rate, since when does a host get 2 builds in the Gallery :surprised:

So here's my P-61 Black Widow, many thanks to Frank @bentwaters81tfw for the clear parts that were missing from the kit, and to you all for the encouragement,  pics below.

Frog/Novo Miles Master built as a MkII, Central Gunnery School, Leconfield, 1948-9

This is my build of the sixty-year-old Miles Master kit. It is finished in the relatively short-lived postwar all yellow trainer scheme. The kit has some donor parts from the spare box for the engine and wheels as well as a vacform canopy, and an interior added

Build thread is here:

This is my Frog Mitchell II. Needed a bit of work to bring it partly up to modern standards but has worked out quite well. The original Frog decs for a machine of 320 (Dutch) Squadron are a bit faint, probably due to a lack of colour density and maybe I should have replaced them. Here is a link to the build.

I have since sorted out the marks around the Port wing roundel which were due to a slight overdose of flat varnish!

Novo re-pop of the F167 Westland PV6/Wallace, bought for four quid at SMW 2018, and converted to a Westland Wapiti in a rather more involved than intended build inspired by the Doug McHard article in the May 1966 Meccano Magazine:

The WIP can be found here.

Thanks to @JOCKNEY and @Rabbit Leader (and @Troy Smith and @Enzo the Magnificent) for making it all work, and to my fellow GB-ers for making it such fun.

Thanks for looking,

Adrian

First of mine over the line and into the gallery.

It's the Frog/Hasegawa MD RF-101C Voodoo recce jet. I've always loved the 101 series and built a few, but this kit ended up loitering....until NOW!

Then I found out about Operation Sun Run, the USAF go at claiming some Speed Records. Namely LA to New York, and also the return bothways Record ,landing where the take-off was.

6 RF-101C took part along with a fleet of their new KC135 Boeing tankers and this was a serious workout for in-flight refuelling and planning. Apparently the tanker rendezvous took place at Mach0.9.

Each Voodoo had a distinct colour scheme to aid identification. I've done airframe #3, which was actually one of the back-up planes. She filled up and turned for home after the first 2 successfully did the first refuelling rendezvous.

The decoration is a mix of spares and self-print.

It appears to me that Frog or probably Hasegawa have marked the wing tops to represent extending slats. To be honest I didn't clock it until it was too late--  they're etched out rather than raised.

Nevertheless, a very enjoyable build, and I'm thinking I'd like to do another, #4 with Yellow marking looks good to me 😎

Here she is...
