Those heavily weathered Danes from the mid-seventies are really hard to resist!

There are a number of additions, see also the WIP-thread. But in short are they the following: Aires cockpit, Quickboost seat, Eduard photo-etch in the wheel wells, Aires air-brakes, Maestro ladder and fuel tanks and Master pitot tubes. The rest of the additions are scratch-built.

Decals are from Stoppel and Maestro.

The small practise bombs bombs are scratch-built, based on Atoll missiles from Eduard's 1/144 MiG-21.

And scratch-build radar warning recievers:

The fin numbers are from Hasegawa's RF-35 kit. The typeface is wrong for that individual, but almost spot on for this earlier style numbers.

Wow, it looks spectacular! Excellent job on scratching all the RDAF Draken bits, now I know there are quite a few :). The faded paint is almost an unintentional type of 'tiger stripe' camouflage in itself, no wonder they repainted them in gloss. 11/10 on everything

Compliments on your fantastic Draken Bjorn. You have done some amazing work and produce a stunning finish again. We need to see more Drakens especially a two seater or two.

Regards, Zhizhou

Realistic looking Draken: top notch work. I especially like the landing gear and the primer shining through on top of the exhaust area - very smart detail that. Also: your concern about the right typeface: YES!

Thank you all! :)

beautiful!

what kind of practice bombs are these? do you have any more info on its pylons?

They were used so simulate high drag and low drag live bombs during exercises. I saw them on a picture from a 1977 exercise (in the excellent book about Draken from Nordic Airpower - highly recommended!) I normally do not pay that much attention to bombs and missiles, but these were nice additions as coloured spots.
