thekz Posted April 25 Posted April 25 (edited) The model is a deep conversion of the Warspite kit from Trumpeter. Also used some Warspite parts from Academy, PE from different manufacturers (mainly North Star) and a small set (crane arm, catapult, funnel grill, radars) of author's PE I described the building process here: Thanks to those who helped to write the story I don't mind to hear critical comments Edited April 25 by thekz 31 10
El Búho de Sevilla Posted April 25 Posted April 25 All great, just still no way to see in any detail the crew members of the tugboat and the sailing boat, and without looking at them, how's the author planning to make us believe that the whole scene is set somewhere near Africa? 1
keefr22 Posted April 25 Posted April 25 Superb modelling, really excellent build, paint and the details are fantastic - love all the crew figures! The sea looks brilliant too! Great work all round! Keith 1
MRMRL Posted April 26 Posted April 26 That's superb, lots of admiration for anyone doing a deep conversion, I've not got the skills for that. Souch detail to enjoy in a really busy scene. My favourite bit of the whole thing is the dirty deck, looks great. 1
Zoran Srb Posted April 26 Posted April 26 WOW!!!! Well, Sir, your diligent work has yielded superb results!!! She's magnificent!!! A spetially considering that, this is mostly scratch built!!! You, Sir, went waaayyy above and beyond !!! CONGRATS !!!! With what next insanity will you grace us with, after, of course (well deserved) break, from kitbashing? 1

ArnoldAmbrose Posted April 26 Posted April 26 G'day @thekz, that's an incredible model of a tough-looking ship. It's a peaceful setting but you have crammed so much detail into it. All those carved crew figures alone are quite an achievement but I think too many of them are not 'gainfully employed'. 🤣 It's a superb job here, very well done. Regards, Jeff. 1
Vlad Posted April 26 Posted April 26 Really great work, so happy to see this finished and appreciate it in all its glory. A sadly overlooked class in general, I have a soft spot for Resolution aesthetically. I feel you've nailed every aspect, from the camo to the tiny details that realy bring it to life. 2 1

Really I was trying to make the model look believable, although a lot of the end result is a figment of my imagination. The colours of the camouflage and the colouring of the lifeboats, for example. 1
robgizlu Posted April 27 Posted April 27 KZ - Superb build - and as is usual for you - brimming with detail and action - Sooo much to look at Sea, build, rigging and all the peripheral details add up to a show winner What's next? Rob 1
Richard E Posted April 27 Posted April 27 An incredibly detailed rendition of a working ship, it's been a pleasure to follow your build from start to finish. 1
beefy66 Posted April 28 Posted April 28 Amazing build and details just have to keep looking over the photos to find new details each time. Stay Safe Keith 1
Mr. Church Posted May 1 Posted May 1 She looks sublime. And I love the camouflage scheme. Excellent job. 1
Autle Posted May 1 Posted May 1 Wow, wow and wow, that's an absolute riot of awesome. I've spent ages looking already and seen something different each time. This is why I love ship modelling. 1 1
Tallyho Posted May 1 Posted May 1 Wow, exceptional work! Could sit and look at that for hours and still see something new each time 🏆 1 1
Faraway Posted May 2 Posted May 2 Outstanding. A masterful example of the modellers art. SO busy, you can almost feel the activity. Jon 1 1
AeroNauticalEngineer Posted May 3 Posted May 3 Incredible, it looks just as busy as a real ship, great job 1
theskits62 Posted May 4 Posted May 4 That is absolutely brilliant, the amount of detail that you have crammed into it beggars belief ! Like a few people have already said, you could look at that for hours and still see see something new each time. 1
