Fireball XL-5, UNCL resin kit with scratch built launch rail and trolley

Had this kit for years and always wanted to build it but knew I wanted to build the launch rail as well which put me off for a long time until now...

 

Fireball XL-5 is about 18" long and the base is 60cm long - mixed units, don't you love 'em!

Nice work and scratchbuilding, I imagine it is an imposing model. The yellow paint work is flawless, a tricky colour to get right.

so I have seen this built and 'in the resin' and it is quite superb - at first glance, it really does take you straight into a sense of seeing the model as if it were in the Anderson's studio environment and set-up ready for filming - totally convincing

Any idea what scale he intended? 

It would be great to know the size/scale of the original models in the show.

From the size of the seats in the cockpit this looks like its about 1:144 scale
