I was at HobbyTown yesterday and spotted one on the rack. I use a generic coiled brass cleaner. To be sure, I understand their soldering equipment is top-drawer, but what is special about such this? BTW, I find the Pinecil to be quite an effective tool. While it's small size and flexibility make it my current goto iron, one of my motivations was USB-C PD. I have such a power supply in my RV for laptops and devices. Not my normal fare but it might just help me back to modelling. I had a long time thought about building a ship and this one might be the one. A worthwhile trip as I bought some paints etc, and picked up my pre-ordered Special Hobby Meteor TT20 and joined the Dora Wings Fairey FD2 owners club. CAT4 conversion sets and decals in 1/48 to build the ill-fated F-111B Navy interceptor. I want to build one of the last two prototypes (152714/152715) which featured a longer nose cone and when CAT4 released sets intended for the HB kit and had a sale I hit the purchase button. I already have an HB FB-111 with some other goodies (Reskit cockpit module and exhausts, Eduard AIM-54A), earmarked for this conversion. As these sets are intended for the earlier prototypes I will not need all parts and have to scratchbuild the nose. One needs to modify the wheels too as CAT4 has no set for them (yet) (front wheels are the same as for the F-14 and the main wheels are smaller than for all other F-111 variants). And today some new sanding sticks to replace my worn ones. I use medicine pots l, they are more like a hard polythene than plastic, and have a scale on the side, as they were used for liquids. I bought two lots of hundred from Ed Models a long while ago and still on the first pack. I have looking for a Satin Varnish and struck lucky. Also picked up a 3 drawer caddy for a reasonable price. That now stores Shot Glasses, Pipettes and bottles of Thinners.
