From 1987, this Freightliner, it's partly started and may not be entirely complete but it does look like it is. The 2011 reboxing of the 1972 Road Boss kit. And I needed some cabovers in the stash. This 1980's release from the 1971 kit came at a nice price. And lastly, another cabover kit, this is a 2017 release of a '70's kit, with 2 cabs in it. I like that day cab. A nice score. dbostream Posted March 17, 2023 Posted March 17, 2023 (edited) Never heard of this bike but the moment I saw the kit I knew I had to have it. I plan to build a civilian version with chrome. The tires and chain is molded in rubber-like material but for some reason they are skin colored. Any idea if I need special paint for this? Never painted on soft plastic. '70 Chevelle is my favorite. Spiny Posted March 17, 2023 Posted March 17, 2023 Can't say for definite with this kit, but the soft rubbery plastic Belkits had you paint on their Fiesta was a bit of a nightmare with acrylic paint as it wouldn't adhere properly and tended to flake off if you went anywhere near it. I did get it done eventually, but would suggest trying other paint types on the sprue before committing to the kit. 2

Long awaited these are based on DDAs own die-cast models which are widely distributed in specialist shops and motor parts outlets. Of the pair purchased, one is stock 308"V8 4 speed 4 door GTS sport sedan, the other is the same basic kit but 'slammed' and fitted with a twin-turbocharged LS1 V8. There are two other kits, a 6 cylinder three-speed family sedan and an overexcitable supercharged 'door-slammer' for burn-out duty. "personal gift shipment " that's the normal term to show that the shipment is not business related and soften the rules for duty and tax. Marco F

Below is a photo of all 19 kits I managed to get in with creative packing and detaching a lot of parts from sprues for about 8 of the kits. Rounded prices paid are shown in red. This luggage is alongside other items such as all Mrs GalaxyG's Japanese cosmetics, and a ton of Japanese snacks and a few car-related t-shirts. Good job that route (London-Tokyo) allows each traveller 2 X 23KG in luggage. Not that kits weigh much. But cosmetics certainly do. Lotions, elixers, creams, balms, mists, masks - it's an expensive hobby. A number of out-of-production kits shown below were things I had hoped to find but with no certainty: The Focus, Escort, Volvo, Mercedes and all 3 smaller Hondas. All of the in-production kits were planned purchases except the Cima - where I got inspired by one VIP version I saw, and the Murcielago, where I got inspired by it's price of £7.50. The Murcielago is not a car or kit I'd considered before but there it was, partially started (mercifully unpainted) waiting for someone to pick it up and continue/finish it. It's not the first time I've let a low-cost kit guide me into making a car I'd otherwise overlooked or dismissed - sometimes it's nice to let a bit of random choice interrupt my plans. In that vein I'd also not had the Repsol Delta on my list but for £11 I wasn't going to say no. The NSX was on my "maybe" list. £15 put it into the shopping basket. Sadly the #1 kit on my wishlist, the Fujimi Mitsubishi FTO nor the #2 Mitsubish Legnum, were not available. I didn't get any endurance cars this time as I have so many already in the stash. Below the photos is a list of all the non-kit but model related miscellaneous I bought. I thought I'd done quite well to get the GTi-R for £30, then you've gone and got it for half that. On the bright side though, at least I didn't have to clutter up the public bins with used undies to get it home 1

Although it‘s only a snap-kit, it‘s by far the most accurate kit in terms of body proportions. It‘s spot-on in all aspects that matter. With some work it can be made into a nice curbside model.
