  1. Fantastic work all around and I agree, it looks like a bigger scale because of all the details!
  2. Not my favourite gen of F1 cars, but very well done!
  3. Great-looking model! The paint job is immaculate and the gloss looks just right. What type of clear coat did you use? Btw: I was about to write that I didn't know Fujimi had a F430 kit. Then I looked it up to find that I have it in my own stash... 🙃 Time to sell a few, I gather...
  4. I agree, this is really nice. When I scrolled through this thread earlier on, I was sure that the paint would have to be a 2-part set (undercoat and basecoat) in order to achieve the desired look. I think it's more about that than having the correct primer colour. I used something like that for my Ford GT (Ford Liquid Red by Gravity). However, your Lambo looks great as is!
  5. This is fantastic stuff, looks great, especially because of the obvious love to detail!
  6. Hi there, you have made a fine model of this mediocre kit. And you are most certainly correct about this being a non-Baby body. The former Italeri release depicted the 1980 Daytona winning 935 J (Liqui Moly livery). And the open front part is correct for that car IMHO, as opposed to the Baby. But then again, for the Daytona car, there are other flaws (e.g. rear air intakes). Modelling takes compromises, this is becoming evident when you try to do "right" on these old kits that Italeri keeps re-releasing... 😉 I recommend to use TS-101 Base White. Yes, it's a primer but it's also a glossy white varnish that you can apply decals and clearcoat on, directly. So you save 1 painting step without making compromises, and it looks a great white IMHO. I used it on the Audi Quattro, for instance.
  7. Great work. High-quality overall appearance! I also like the small details, for instance the (painted?) rivets around the rear window and on the wing.
  8. As so many have said aready: fantastic build! I still have the 1/24 MFH kit... I think it will take steady nerves, steady hands and a lot of patience for me to get this look only half as good as your 1/12.
  9. Great job on this conversion, looks really cool! The colour reminds me of the blue/green on some Jaguar XJ220's. I have not yet build a conversion kit using C1 material. But I know their customer service is spot-on. I purchased a Koenig Specials Ferrari 308 body kit some years ago. Last year I considered starting the project before I found out the C1 resin parts had shrinked. I contacted them and they told me they had resin shrinking issues in the early years, and replaced the whole set with a new one!
  10. Gotta love this! When I first saw this kit built on another forum, I had to get myself one too. I love the CF decals and rivets included. Yours turned out beautifully. Too bad we all get fooled (to put it mildly) with regards to the missing tabacco decals. I'll probably get myself a sheet from Indycals, as usual.
  11. Looks different, interesting in silver. I like it.
  12. This colour combo is always a winner... well done.
