  1. Yes Neddy. But I don't it will be fast enough to tip over! But the roller skates or furniture castors might be a good idea if I can find them in 1/24th scale!
  2. Well, mounted on the chassis with the lights and an extended mirror to fit, OH and a rear door handle. As it has been built on the car body, it would be difficult to spray paint so may camo the whole thing with brush work!
  3. Hiroboy has just two types/logo's of decals for this kit, and Scalemates some others. DModels have a Petter Solberg rallycross set, and various others.
  4. Cheers Neddy. I wanted to be an engineer like my father and brother, but Mum said she didn't want another smelly greasy man coming in at 6pm wanting feeding, so she found me an office job and you don't say no to your mother! I did build a kit car about 30+ years ago in 4 and a bit months, and it was our No.1 family car for about 3 years!
  5. Oh dang it Neddy why make so much more difficult! But I don't have a V8 available! Nearly, nearly, I thought of woodying it but with the 600cc engine it would never move! It looks grubby so I will have to come up with something! It will have an 'L' shape corner trim around most of it. I thought of woodying it but with the 600cc engine it would never move! It looks grubby so I will have to come up with something! It will have an 'L' shape edging trim around most of it, and superimpose a rear door as well.
  6. OOOH Gary! This should be interesting to see the decal possibilities for it!
  7. Thanks Redstaff I'll keep your offer in mind! Where did you get the Bastos decals from? I used similar on a Porsche 911.
  8. Just from ebay, a ready started kit; I just hope the decals are 100%! 22.04.24 Arrived today all parts there and decals look OK but yet tried.
  9. I should have kept; My Dutton Sierra Kit Car, built in the lockup!
  10. Thanks Toftdale, I'll have to get some corrugated evergreen sheets!
  11. Cut open windows and framed on one side.
  12. Thanks Spiny. Yes I used a craft knife on a scrap piece of plastic, to cut a rectangular opening. I used on a surf vehicle a wood drill to cut a hole and added a chrome trim ring from a wheel.
  13. Update. I couldn't think of anyway to construct a camper shell other than on the base vehicle. The high-tech template for the camper sides. I have yet to work out how to cut out for windows!
  14. OOOOH perhaps not a convertible!
  15. Yes Neddy, I hope it will be! Setting myself a target of a de-mountable may be too much. On looking at it now, it looks to be a convertible!
  16. The roof is off! I may try and build a de-mountable camper shell!
  17. Superb build. I remember as a marshall at Silverstone in the day talking to Frank Biela with the team!
  18. An 848cc Mini in 1966 when I was 18 from the local driving school after 20 lessons so passed first time.
  19. Yes Neddy I've seen quite a few rusted on the deck!
  20. Yes Vesa, this is the second idea, after a camper! But it's finding all the bits.
  21. New Heller Citroen 2CV, started today. Decision, car, pick-up, flat bed or camper? AH, remember only twin cylinder air cooled motor, so nothing too heavy!
