This is mine https://www.scalemates.com/kits/airfix-a04050a-bae-harrier-gr7a-gr9--1397434 Trevor I think we're talking about the same kit. This is a reissue of 2011 Harrier kit. Is the plastic there the one light grey and soft or newer darker and harder? I could imagine plastic quality impacts the panel lines sharpness too

Davis in his P-47 Thunderbolt (41-6358) I've mentioned a new P-47 every year as a good potential release from Airfix. It's one of the big WW2 classics and served in the RAF. Of course Tamiya already issued great kits of the type but Tamiya competition didn't prevent Airfix from issuing a P-51D in both 1/72 and 1/48 scale. For some reason though I've now given up hope. 2

It would be something along the lines of the Transport Wings 1/32 DH Comet flight deck that’s just been released. Does that make me a Vulcanite? 4

tonyp Posted January 14 Posted January 14 Does anyone have that picture of a mob exclaiming "not my scale" etc? Think it was posted here or online last year.
Karearea Posted January 14 Posted January 14 (edited) Just pulled out my Heller Javelin to take some photos for the group build inspiration gallery, and I broke off the nose gear again- this time it looks terminal and probably needs some brass rod repairs. Anyway, I think I saw a ghostly image of the Javelin slowly lever itself out of the corporeal styrene remnants, and waft slowly upwards. Hoping for a reincarnation tomorrow. I’ll buy a few! cf18hornet Posted January 14 Posted January 14 Have the 1/72 Vulcan, Victor, Valiant and Nimrod. Now all I’d like to see is an accurate VC-10 to round out the RAF heavies. 🤞🏻 4
LN-KEH Posted January 14 Posted January 14 In 1:72 T-6 / Harvard -trainer release of the year Avro Manchester Handley Page Halifax Handley Page Hampden - ICM does the 1:48, Airfix can do it in the smaller scale. PBY-5A Catalina Me 410 - another version from the molds Republic P-47 Thunderbolt Hawker Sea Fury Fairey Firefly Corsair IV AW 101 AW159 Wildcat Avro 504K - trainer of the year Classics with new clear parts Short Skyvan Cherokee Arrow In 1:48 T-6 / Harvard Fairey Firefly P-47 Thunderbolt In 1:24 Corsair IV Me 262 In 1:35 Bofors 40 mm with crew and truck Archer - also in 1/72 Valentine In 1:1200 HMS Queen Elizabeth II / HMS Prince of Wales And then Airfix will release something completely different, but still interesting enough for me to add to my stash.

Airfix have said they would consider doing 1/32 aircraft for subjects that are too big for 1/24. I keep hoping their first 1/32 aircraft will be an English Electric Lightning F.1A since the Trumpeter kit is so crap. 3

I took out my Thunderchief from the shelf yesterday and that slipped from my hand to crash land on the table losing most of the bombs and starboard leg. I highly doubt we get an Airfix F-105 but maybe at least Thunderanything like aforementioned P-47? Edited January 14 by Dennis_C

I heard ‘Dirty Deeds Done Dirt Cheap’ on the radio yesterday, and was musing that I was well into my late teens before I realised it wasn’t ‘Dirty Deeds, Thunderchief’. So you could well read that as an omen. 1
