A snooze was clearly required before tackling those last three steps!

Yes I am giving her some credit. I am not assuming a snooze was required after walking down three steps... Come to think of it...🤔

Yep always helpful when you have just moved into a new house and you are spending most of your time carrying items up and down stairs...

Marty again, the sanest of our two, not that is saying a lot but we probably get the most laughs from the daffy out of character things he does. Looking particularly clever (not) in a shopping bag.

I don't know why, but why did I imagine the opening bars to "Jaws" theme start playing?

as my teenage son reminds us when we are talking about our moggie - You do realise that if she was ten times bigger she would look at you and think "food"?

We get a very large crow that comes and bangs it beak on the bi-fold doors.  Quite noisy too.  Anyway the fearless 2 German Shepherds ably supported by the cat all try and get under my desk in the man cave and stay there until I go and shoo it away.  Real heroes all   :rofl2:

I've heard of Zoltan Hound of Dracula but Zoltan Moggy of Dracula is pushing it a bit....

Here we have Charlie,  one of the local hooligans enjoying a free chicken dinner! Cheeky little sod was hanging off the front door handle as soon as he smelt the bird in the oven! 🤣

Was also doing some gardening this morning with these three supervising...

Closest is Charlie's brother Ted, then Tabby who we think is either a stray or a cat who's owners don't really give a fig about him. He's been hanging round for a good few years now, and then there's Charlie skulking off. Who needs a cat when you have the neighbours!

I'm retired and a widower. My last bloke died a couple of years ago, after a pretty good knock for a cat - just a few weeks short of his 19th birthday. He had dementia, arthritis and failing kidneys, and when the kidney failure looked to be getting worse there was only one call to make. After considerable reflection I decided not to replace him. I can now travel without having to get a cat cared for in my absence, which has been a relief, and I've noticed that the small birdlife - Fairy Wrens and the like - is back around the house, which is a huge bonus. I hadn't realised what destruction the old bugger had been wreaking! Every so often, though, I get the urge to have another companion animal around the place. So far I've resisted, but I'm still thinking seriously about a rescue greyhound or two ...
