Yes you are.  Being a good mum does not mean letting the little "darlings" of any species get their own way all of the time.  (Substitute your own favourite word for "darlings".)

Nearly four months since Allie left and even now when I get up in the morning I ‘see’ her trotting down the stairs before me, making a bee line to her bowl. Because I was only there to make sure she was fed!

I’m not a good cat mum today, because I administered his monthly flea spot earlier. Much hard staring and sulking going on.

Oh I know that look.

If my two hear me breaking open the top of the Frontline vial there is a mad scramble to see who can get right to the back under the couch.

I do this in the kitchen but the little blighters have fantastic hearing even when I try masking the sound with the white noise of a kettle.

When I do get it administered I'll get the look and then the I'm sitting with my back to you just out of reach ploy.

Cheers,

Alistair

Ha! I know what you mean. Billy can recognise the sound of a tin of tuna being opened. He knows he gets to share it with us if we are having it as a topping on a jacket spud. He’s not quite learned to differentiate between tuna, soup and baked beans tins, though.

When it’s time for him to go he's going to leave a bloody huge gaping wound in our lives. I think the only way to help heal it will be to go to Cats Protection once more and get chosen all over again.

It certainly helps with the healing process.

That was good. The cat was definitely a better actor than Tom Cruise (mind you a ren year Dakota Fanning and the CGI fighting machines were also better in 'War of the Worlds')

Wilf recognises a tuna tin. Mrs T sometimes takes a tuna sandwich for lunch and I finish the tin off. No matter how quiet I try go be Wilf hears the fridge door and is there for his cut. The world will be in real trouble if cats evolve opposable thumbs

In addition to the worst case of anti-mojo I've ever had, here's the other reason I've not completed a model in ages. This is Percy doing his best to cheer me. He actually - along with his brother, Oliver - does a great job, but it does eat into my model-building time something fierce.

My previous company's Moto was "can do will do" which quickly got turned into "could do might do" which I think is applicable to the above photo (s) 😄
