Err, yeah, right! 🙂 On 12/17/2023 at 4:53 AM, Admiral Puff said: My bloke was murder on the local wildlife. Gidday, unfortunately this true in Australia. Cats are not indigenous here and the local wildlife has almost no defense against them. We love cats, have always had one or two and will probably continue the tradition for the rest of our lives. And I acknowledge that in years past we were guilty of letting them loose outside also. But now they stay inside all the time or go outside into the large enclosure we've made for them. They adapt to this restriction very quickly we've found (one cat I'm sure was agoraphobic), and the birds and other native wildlife have blossomed here because of it. Regards, Jeff. 5

593jones Posted March 13, 2024 Posted March 13, 2024 Why is it that cats always have that 'Did I give you permission to take my picture' look? 11

Pete Robin Posted March 13, 2024 Posted March 13, 2024 Hey chaps. It is, with a broken heart, that I bring news of The Great Grey Beastie's passing. Over the past couple of weeks, he's got thinner and thinner, eating loads but it went straight thru, drinking a lot and not peeing. Yesterday he got a lot worse, so we went to the vets. Lots of poking and prodding, which he took with his usual friendliness, but the vet reckoned she could feel a tumour up under his ribs and the kindest course of action was to help him on his way. He laid his head in my hand, laid down and passed away without a sound. Hells teeth, I miss him. I don't sleep so well and he and I talked for hours. Last night was the first in so many years he wasn't there. God speed Frranko, you get them damned pigeons! Regards Pete 21

fatfingers Posted March 14, 2024 Posted March 14, 2024 Had to make the same decision last year with my mate Patch. I still miss that great big grumpy lump of a cat. You have my deepest of condolances. Steve 5 1
Graham Boak Posted March 14, 2024 Posted March 14, 2024 It's always sad. However there's surely a cat rescue home nearby with another cat needing to fill the hole. 5 1
