  4. I'd say it is a Polish PWS 10 , supplied to the republicans. - that tail strut threw me for a sec but it is there. Other aircraft like the FW 56 'Stosser' , Henschel 126 etc. had similar wings .
  5. " Have you tried green stuff world blue stuff. I haven’t bothered with making rubber molds since I got a pack." - No , Marklo , not yet . Also I've seen that some people have problems with it ., and it dosn't seem to hold fine detail so well . On the subject of resiny things , I was browsing Fleabay for some aftermarket stowage , small arms and gubbins - and found this πŸ™‚. . . . . . . Comes with this chap - A base too - - I have brought some other figures as well , but I'll see how I manage with the '38 first , or this will become serious mission creep ! Meantime , I have been assembling the tracklinks , 180+ of the darlings . 3 peices per link . . . . my brain hurts . . . . and I had to redo the upper armour side plates , they were wrong . Not by much but annoying enough that I hated looking at them. - My fault for trusting those plans , Grrr. Then a much needed break in the weather allowed me to get some spraying done , no piccies - Matt black dosn't make for exciting photos . Back soon , I promise , enjoy the summer , eh? - TTFN B.
  6. They are Masterclubs resin , Rivets , nuts'n bolts . I used to get them from Historex , but lately I buy from Jadar hobbies , poland. - I have not been Idle , honest . I have been chipping away at stuff while awaiting arrival of some fresh silicon casting rubber so I can get on with some internals - I fitted the suspension - and filled the hole in the leaf spring shackles to make them into the later type . I also beat up the tyres abit. 😢 -They don't look so rough in real life , Some thinned moltern plastic was stippled to the exhaust . addind texture . Ordinance - alloy tube , putty and a sprue 'fuse cap' , Ammo racks are via. plasticard / boiling water. Finnishing off with a couple of Fug 's ( radios ) πŸ˜‹ TTFN B.
  7. Todays treat - Holes , lots of holes , held together with some plasticard . . . . 100 + so far , plus 200+ rivets for the hull upper armour and still more to do πŸ€ͺ . * BTW Caveat emptor - Published plans can be wildly wrong , not even agreeing with themselves , Much anglo-saxon was expended here . Progress , front armour plate next . . . . Time for a lay down , I think . TTFN. B.
  8. Well , I was going to write mudguards but the pack calls 'em fenders πŸ˜• Last bit to do , to fill the gap here a strip of thin plasticard goes where the old thick armour plate used to be . My original intention was to scratch the interior , but because I missed a couple of weeks , and will be away in September drastic steps are called for . . . . . . I only went and brought the Hobbyboss kit 😁 this will help speed things up abit ! A few details to add , like band tension springs , tacometer drive take off and some shielding , but this'll help. - Rear firewall , and other stuff like the radio will come in handy too - plus i have another '38t in the stash , Ahem. Stay lucky folks , B.
  9. Howling wind and rain means I have to forgo the gardening today , what a shame eh? - I'll just have to find something else to do . . . I know , modelling ! πŸ˜‹ Nothing glued yet , there's a ton of work to do for the interior first . 😢 but I'll need to check the geometry for . . - Aber P.E. fenders . . . . Twelve metal bits and 102 rivets later . . . . Checking the alighnment/fit . looks O.K.
  10. Here she is ! Freshly exhumed from the stash . Poor thing , little does it expect . . . Instant butcher, er surgery .- The sides need to be re profiled and the over thick upper plate scraped down with a 'stanley' blade , sellotape helps protect the lower sides. - A - And for a break from all the scraping , here's a sIG 33 barrel , alloy tube and plasticard . . .πŸ™ƒ
  11. 1/16 rc Sd.Kfz 138 Panzerjager Marder 111M .

  15. Hiya folks , back again , I have been busy , promise . It's time to address all the pipework , plumbing and wires . Not the main rocket umbilicals though - those hoses are ' stowed ' ( avoiding that funnage 😢 ) Much scouring of interwebs gives an idea of the layouts , so brass tube , wiire and bits underway - Various angles , dangles etc. - and test fitting . Rear view of the new rgulator cabinet w/plumbing - and a parcel rack , from scrap PE. Primer , pre shade and base colours. L/h side , Rocket starter fuel tank , 'Stopcock' and bits from fusewire , bolts etc - another ladder to be added here . . . R/h view , Another large ladder/ trestle to go on the cab side . I keep finding stuff to add 🀨. - Repairs required , hinge damage , and I managed to knock off a tail light , Doh . Hey Ho , onwards and upwards ! 'till next time . Keep safe folks , B.
  16. Some more - It's slow going , but the amount of new/reworked bits = lots of bench time . . . 😬 Plugging some holes . . . Air bottles seperated , winch with cable and shrould (clear plastic , dosn't show ) General gubbins . . . Beginning to do the new locker faces , rocket starter fuel tank etc. E Electrical wire cables and fuse wire hooks for the pannier tanks - Rearmost cabinet too . 🧐 - Loads to do yet ! Stay luckyfolks , B.
  17. At last , some more done 😢 after wasting my own time - several attempts with getting the correct treadplate , I found some .. . also with paint 🫴 While I was at it , I did the running gear , adding some luverly foresty mud . The Scud A launcher features an extra 'Kidney' pannier box , from scrap . Rocket time , some trimming and test fitting required here - not the best part of the kit .. . . . . After shortening the warhead , to R-11 specs, some filler/ primer. . . . . .. . Raised panel lines had to go - Ye olde scriber and some scrap metal bits for templates . . . - Voila! I took advantage of some good weather and threw some black primer and some basic colour on , OMG progress !
  19. A little more . . . and a change of plan ! The kit depicts a fairly late Scud , with the R-17 rocket array. I have decided to back date it a little - ahem πŸ™ƒ). Into the earlier , more common ( and better documented ) R-11 version . . . what could go wrong eh? The basic kit cradle , before - Now with , shortened cradle, upper reinforcement webs removed , front clamps 'straightened' and new brush guard and gantry ladders. . . . The front tip of the brush guard still needs reworking , and more bits to hack about , but getting there!
  20. Hi Keith , yes the jig is a nice touch ,. Todays bits . . . Starting on the cab interior . Just loose at the mo . . . . . . and a gratuitous butt shot , the legs are posable and bound to get knocked off πŸ€ͺ There's plenty of scope for extra detailing - the question is will you see it ? Stay lucky folks , B.
  21. Another day , another dollar , πŸ˜— Wheels and stuff now on . . . Primed black . . . . . . Single link tracks , dontcha just luv 'em . Oh , is it beer o'clock already ? TTFN.
