Michael M
Here's some photos of my really long term project finally finished. It lasted 5 years 3 months and 20 days.... These are paper models, but after the treatment they got I'm not sure if they should be classified as such. I wasn't going to post them here, but I was told that they SHOULD be here, so here you go Besshumnyi: Kit: Together: That's it i hope you'll enjoy it Cheers Mick Edited August 31, 2017 by Michael M

phoscar
Hello, Well I am stunned by the immense quality of this work. This is a first for me, I knew some got marvelous results with paper models, but here I am on "unknown lands" .... Great congratulations. Marc If I am not indiscreet, who is the supplier of this model ?
alex
Wow! A friend of mine has just finished the Akagi in 1:200 from the same producer. It's amazing what can be done with paper! Alex
Kuro Nezumi
Very cute! If you didn't say that they are paper models, I would have thought that they're plastic or wood! Great work! I have one of Combrig's torpedo boats in 1/350, and she's tiny!
Michael M
Thanks gents As I've said, after dipping in lacquer, CA, paint and other stuff, I'm not sure if it's still paper. Beside that, there is plastic, veneer, metal and God only knows what else in them Phoscar I'm not sure what are you asking... the publisher is in the title, it's Dom Bumagi ( from Ukraine ), i got mine years ago in Poland, shops like http://gpm.pl have their stuff, or you can go directly to the publisher here http://shop.homepaper.com.ua . I've started another of those looooong term projects in paper as well but I'm not sure if I should post the build thread here, it probably will last another 5 years, or should I limit myself to just post the gallery when it'll finally be done? SUB-SAM
These are fantastic, Paper modelling is well suited to maritime modelling, as it replicates the process of real ship manufacture with lots of plate work. The CA / paper composite is a technique I used when I did paper modelling, as well as stiffening the parts it stops fibrous edges from forming on cut parts which really detracts from paper models normally. You don't often see torpedo boats modeled but I think they make charming models.
phoscar
Hello Thanks for your reply Michael M. My question was the consequence of my ignorance and misinterpretation of the Google translator. Congratulations again for this wonderful work. Marc.
