  5. So 2021 a few modelling set backs and a hectic year. Heres my lower than usual offering for 2021 builds. 1) 1/350 Thunderbird 1 from that nameless movie. 2) Klingon Vor' cha cruiser with DS9 livery, lot more exciting than the plain Next Gen livery. 3) Some 1/700 USN Nuclear submarines, 1 SSN & 2 SSBN's 4) The Batmobile from Batman & Robin, experiment in gloss black and polishing, mixed feelings about the end result. 5) SR-71 egg plane with replacement decals from a BSG Viper, piloted by Lt. Starbuck LOL 6) A joy to build E-2 Hawkeye resin egg plane. 7) A build in two halves, the bust completed, submarine to follow for my HMS Upholder build. Happy modelling to all, all the best Chris.

  13. Its clearly stated on the IPMS webpage for tickets etc; COVID-19 – ALL visitors, exhibitors and traders to show a valid Covid Passport (or equivalent). From govt website; For domestic use For domestic purposes, those 18 and over can obtain an NHS COVID Pass if one of the following applies: 2 weeks after completing a full course of vaccination, whether that requires 2 doses or one dose (that is, 2 doses of the Moderna, AstraZeneca or Pfizer vaccine, or 1 dose of the Janssen vaccine) (according to the Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency authorised schedule). with evidence of a negative polymerase chain reaction (PCR) or rapid lateral flow test taken within 48 hours of entry to a venue, with both at-home and on-site (where available) being accepted. A lateral flow test taken at home will need to be reported into the public reporting system proof of natural immunity shown by a positive PCR test result for COVID-19, lasting for 180 days from the date of the positive test and following completion of the self-isolation period You must have been vaccinated in England, Wales or Scotland. If you’ve been vaccinated in Scotland, you must be both: resident in England registered with a GP in England hope this helps, as part of a clubs set up team we have to have valid covid passports. All the best Chris
  14. Just finished watching this series, it was worth a watch. As a submarine modeller i laughed my socks off at a lot of it, some really far fetched stuff in it. Typical BBC approach to anything underwater, like their mini series The Deep, reality takes a huge stretch to wormhole proportions. Heres a glimpse of the insides of a Vanguard class, note the hatch sizes LOL https://www.businessinsider.com/step-inside-nuclear-submarine-2016-7?r=US&IR=T As for the sail and the big gaping opening with a hatch and access tube you could swing your arms in, LMAO Well enjoy, all the best Chris
  15. Any chance of keeping the thread on track, the terms of entry have been posted, covid passport, no mention of further tests. With just over three wees to go, i am personally looking forward to going. If your going your going or not going. If you are look forward to seeing you there. Conjecture is best left to a seperate thread, i personally only want to read about SMW updates and who's going. All the best Chris

  21. Very nicely done Brian, a cracking job. All the best Chris
  22. So calling this one done, Batmobile from Batman and Robin, 1/25 by Revell/Monogram. Hairystick painted gloss black, polished with Tamiya polishes, then sealed with a humbrol gloss cote. Not quite the flawless polished finish i was aiming for but, enough is enough. The perfectionist in me isnt happy, but the hairy stick modeller in me is quite pleased, so that will do. Biggest headache was the simulated light blue lighting and the overall finish as each affected the other. All the best Chris
