Mr Freeze from Batman and Robin 1/16
whitestar12chris replied to whitestar12chris's topic in Figure Ready for Inspection
The chrome is at a shine level that matches the actual suit, too shiny would have ruined the filming. Its not as shiny as your model well done. All the best Chris -
Heres Arnold Schwarzenegger as Mr Freeze. A fun build painted with Molotow Liquid chrome pen and acyrilics. 1/16 scale by Hasegawa. All the best Chris

Why so serious? Joker in nurses uniform Bust, painted in humbrol enamels with the exception of the pink, humbrol acrylic. Another learning curve, not happy with the satin white, but this was a trial piece before tackling the full body figure. Overall pleased with results, even printed badge on photopaper came out ok even at this scale. All the best Chris

Aquaphibian from Stingray
whitestar12chris replied to whitestar12chris's topic in Ready for Inspection - SF & RealSpace
Pete it was and is LOL, watched 9 episodes on ITVX, 30 to go, still more research needed for other models. all the best Chris -
This is a limited run, 150mm (6") figure of the Aquaphibian from Stingray. Painted in custom mixed humbrol enamels and given a final thinned down silver wash. This was a tricky one to colour match, sat watching stingray episodes and photographing them. Colour very dependant on lighting conditions on set. I would take a stab at it being a vauxhall metallic green from the time LOL. all the best Chris

Number of builds down on previous years, due to family demands. Managed to complete 7 models in 2023. Already on the rise in 2024 as have completed 2 already, although started in 2023 LOL So first up a white metal ISA Excalibur from Babylon5/Crusade Next up a Spectrum Passenger Jet followed by George Clooney as Batman from Batman & Robin next up a couple of Osprey egg planes up next a Chinese submersible Shen Hai Yong Shi followed by Norma's Harpy and finally an IPMS themed VW 1963 T2 Microbus all the best Chris

Cracking job, well done. Only one comment, not to detract from your build, the Biber's never had time to rust, very few survived there first mission. All the best Chris

033G Wuhan SSG submarine
whitestar12chris replied to whitestar12chris's topic in Work in Progress - Maritime
Update on Wuhan, still opening out flood holes. Lower grills didnt work out so had to replace with brass rod. There is a fit issue around the conning tower, when dry fitting i found that if you have the missile launchers raised it fouls the railing so some tweeking to come. Main hull assembled, no filler required. Folding front dive planes mechanism is prone to falling apart. As can be seen a few of the repairs are visible to the missile fairing as when opening holes out it is fragile. Glad im doing this by hand i could see a power tool reeking havoc. 7 days til SMW, is she going to be finished? All the best Chris
