1/48 GWH Devastator Floatplane

Recommended Posts

Hello fellow modellers.

I'd like to present you my latest build; the Great Wall Hobby Devastator Floatplane.

Only one real floatplane was ever produced but I didn't want to build that version. So I bought an aftermarker decal set for a regular Devastator.

The kit is a dream to build. Only problem is that the clear canopy parts are way to thick to open it up and stack the glass parts on top of each other. So, for the photo's I ommited a couple of them.

For the cockpit, which is pretty good straight from the box, I used the Eduard interior set.

The model was painted with Gunze paints and Alclad for the torpedo.

Hope you like the result.

My only complaint would be that it is not in my display cabinet!
