  1. Hi Paul, I see you've got hold of the AKAN set which includes the cockpit colour, if it's not such a perfect match you can try a 50/50 mix of H46 and Tamiya X14 sky blue which hits the mark spot on. Good luck with your build, Cheers.
  2. I love it when I check in on your latest work Peter, it's always a feast for the eyes and quite jaw dropping! Cheers...

  8. Many thanks for all the positive comments, I really appreciate the Feedback. Cheers...
  9. I do normally leave canopy's open but on this occasion I wouldn't have been happy with the finish, it makes a change to have one closed and I do agree with Tim that the lines of the aircraft look much better. Cheers, Mike...
  10. What a beauty, love the extra work you put in, really added a lot of dynamism to the finish. Cheers...
  11. The breakdown of the kit does leave a nasty seam between the cockpit tub and the fuselage side, the tub was already painted and I didn't fancy trying to fix it without damage. If I do another I think I'll plan ahead and try and do it open. Thanks again chaps....
  12. Thanks everyone, glad you like it and thanks for taking the time to look. Cheers...
  13. Hi everybody, Finished this earlier in the week. Revell 1/32 Bf 109 G-6, Eagle Cal decals, Barracuda intake, exhausts, cooling scoops and oil cooler housing, AlleyCat cowl bulges, spinner and prop, Maketar masks for national markings, Brassin gun pods, Eduard fabric harness. Paints are Gunze, Tamiya, Vallejo and Citadel, I also used the AMMO PLW for the panel lines and some weathering. Final flat coat with AK ultra matte. Thanks for looking, all comments are welcome, Cheers...
  14. Thanks for the comments. Posting a few pictures but will post more later in the RFI forum. Thanks for looking. Cheers...
  15. Tim I find vinyl seems to shrink leaving gaps on national markings etc, also in my less than nimble fingers it can easily get stretched out of shape. I certainly will build more, really fancy doing a K4 so will keep that link handy. Hope to get some finished pics up soon as it's all done. Cheers...
  16. Thanks Tim, I've seen one of those pictures before, thanks for the links. I ordered the masks direct and received a confirmation email, the masks themselves took a week or so to arrive, I've had masks from them before and not had any problems. Cheers...
  17. Thanks guys for the comments. Cheers...
  18. Hi chaps and ladies, Sorry for the lack of updates, I always seem to have to rename files to get them to display hence lots of downloading uploading shenanigans! Anyway much progress has been made so lets catchup. Wheel bays painted, Gunze aqueous RLM 02, Undercarriage complete, this is a fiddly multi part assembly that doesn't appear very strong so next time I'll get some of the brass Brassin bits. I'd got some Barracuda wheels but I'm saving them for another kit, After priming I sprayed the fuselage band Gunze RLM 24 after which I discovered a pretty much empty jar of RLM 76 so had
  19. Lovely work Alan, I really like the sharpness of the colours and the subtle weathering, Great job. Cheers...
