Wee Beastie
Ever wondered what a North American XB-70 might have evolved, had it entered service?Well wonder no more! This is the B-70E Valkyrie's Hammer, which could have been based at Lakenheath I finished this a few months back, but have only just got around to photographing it.http://www.britmodeller.com/forums/index.php?/topic/234984915-xb-70-valkyrie-1-72-italeri/?hl=valkyrie Finished in the usual USAF Gunship Grey (Vallejo), and armed with 6 x AGM-84H SLAM-ER's and 6 x AGM-154 JSOW C's, plus a Cruise missile load in the bomb bay. Also has IFR capability. Learstang
Beautiful! Now let's see you do one in SEAC camouflage, with a huge external load of 750 lb bombs and a 20-mm Vulcan turret in the tail. Regards, Jason

mcdonnell
Hello,WeeBeastie - My compliments to you on a fine looking build of your 'Valkyrie'. I love the quality and detail of the paint and finishing work and commend the clean patina. She is a resplendent tribute to the type and what a majestic sight she would be at Lakenheath! All the best,Paul.
Knight_Flyer
Excellent build and paint finish. With that kind of grey it looks like it's meant to be in outer space rather than an aircraft.

raptormodeller
Expensive bomb load for killing 2000£ worth of ak's, flip-flops and pick ups. Still, a strafing run could've been cheaper but ey well, overkill, the name's B70.
ancient mariner
Nice "WIF" Lakenheath? property prices would hit rock bottom and the price of triple glazing go through the roof.

Wee Beastie
Beautiful build, and a fantastic what if! Wee question, how did the kit go together? The fit of the fuselage, and wings wasn't brilliant. Did use a fair amount of filler.
