TIGER HOBBIESLIMITED
Airfix getting flak over their 1/350 Model of HMS Queen Elizabeth (LOL) not too serious of course http://www.newsbiscuit.com/2014/07/06/airfix-criticised-for-not-including-any-aircraft-with-scale-model-of-hms-queen-elizabeth/ When asked about two years ago if they would look at a model, they stated at the nationals may be not much interest, I have had a number of calls this morming asking to buy a model that does not exisit. hovis
I see traffic on the bridge. Wasn't there meant to be road closures as she sailed underneath? you know, for security reasons?
Simon Cornes
That is one hell of a big ship! The transom shot really brings it home! Lets hope she doesn't have to go back there to often!

There was also a heavy police and military presence on land, water, and air. 1 hour ago, Simon Cornes said: That is one hell of a big ship! The transom shot really brings it home! Lets hope she doesn't have to go back there to often! I agree. I didn`t fully appreciate just how much the flight deck and towers exceed and overhang the width of the hull. Nothing really prepared for that until she was free of the dock. Here`s a nice vid of her sailing under the Forth Rail Bridge from seaward side (go straight to 5 minutes into vid). bootneck
Thanks Ian, they should be very useful in any future build. The captions with the photo's are a bit of a laugh, especially image 46/62 "Petit Officer Martin......" Cheers Mike

TallBlondJohn
Nice clip: Even without any airwing and with that bow that looks like shes rammed something, she looks 'right' in a way CDG and even Ark Royal R09 don't (yes I know Ark was a great ship etc etc, but the only thing uglier was one of her Phantoms )

TonyTiger66
Airfix need to grasp the nettle on this. Other companies will make a model/models of it. It would be best if a brand synonymous with British modelling did it first (and did it well). http://www.newsbiscuit.com/2017/07/02/airfix-not-in-a-rush-to-produce-model-hms-queen-elizabeth/ Best regards TonyT

Dave Fleming
She seems to be coming back to anchor off Kirkcaldy between runs up and down the North Sea. I have heard rumours she will be docking at Invergordon at some point, and also talk of a return to the upper Forth in about 5 weeks time

And then only 50% on a PAS boat with the last one at 2359. That could be just me being cynical though.

See how much and one can consume before getting back on the PAS boat. With a bonus of course of not on the way. Ohh, happy days.
Dave Fleming
Now in the Moray Firth. A question - everything I've seen is referring to her as HMS Queen Elizabeth, but I thought RN ships weren't 'officially' HMS until they are commissioned? Or does the naming ceremony count? Panzer Vor!!!
When,s it start flight testing ?? I mean it is the same as the carrier out of Avengers films ?? If you look at the flag at the stern its the Blue ensign so she still belongs to the builders till the Navy accepts her after her test period
