Cheers Bas`, no they`re cluster bomb dispensers, the small bombs are either white phosphorous or tear gas. Along with the napalm tanks I guess it was equipped for `Area Denial` probably on SAR mission.

What a stunning build Russ.   A real sows ear of a kit and you created a silk purse!  Bravo.

That's alright that Russ, very smart & nicely photographed. You do knock them out pretty steady at a high quality. Good effort.

Another excellent build Russ, I do like this. I'm surprised there isn't a more modern tooling of this type in 1/48 & 1/72 for us lesser mortals!

cheers

Great work on a kit I love.

I have built that kit at least a dozen times, but never to such a fine standard.

I must very much agree with all the above comments, a pleasure to look at. I especially like the panel lines very neat. Got any more like this one?

Thanks Lindan, yeah I`ve posted a few more like this over the years, sorry I can`t tell you an easy way of finding them, but if you search for the phrases: Indochina, Laos, Secret war, Flying Dragon, Air America, Air Commando etc, you should find a few of them. Or for less common aircraft like Bronco, Mohawk etc try searching for the aircraft names.

Thanks again, Russ

Also: Thanks to every one for posting such great feed back, appreciated

Great build with a 'challenging' kit - just goes to show what can be done with some brilliant modelling skills and perseverance.

Well Done (again) Sir !

Is this really a Matchbox kit?  They really deserve to be around today.

Revell re-released it under their label a few years ago if you're interested.

Cracking model, Russ.  I admire your focus on the SEA theatre.
