Police Box?

Call Centre?

Lines of traffic cones?

Just to quote from the Guardian article,

"Whatever Curiosity has found, it is not evidence for life on Mars. It can't be. Curiosity is not designed to look for life. Grotzinger has stated this himself. In a Nasa video about the mission, he says, "Curiosity is not a life detection mission. We're not actually looking for life; we don't have the ability to detect life if it was there.""

So no little green microbes, men or bugs.

Though just to point out it's only a month to the 21/12/2012....

Apart from the fact its got a number of decent cameras on it.

Development.

NASA have announced they have lost contact with Curiosity and cannot recommence communications with it. However, they have published the final visual image taken by the robotic probe before its disappearance.

Someone needs to tell those Jawas that Curiosity isn't the droid they are looking for...

Exactly - what if they took a photo of what is unmistakeably a fossil lifeform? Improbable, but not impossible.

Three letters, starts with 'F'...

'Fog off'????

Enough free water in the atmosphere to cause a fog? I'd say that was pretty historic.

I hope it's a giant white face. Gary Sinise will be ecstatic.

:D

What are the chances of anything coming from Mars? A million to one?.

Oh yes, that reminds me, the War of the Worlds - The new generation comes out tomorrow.

Must be a coincidence?

Book, film, game? Enquiring minds need to know :)

Hadn't heard of this news til I'd read it here. True curiosity isn't designed to detect bio matter but I guess if a Martian wonders up and says hi it can't ignore them

Jeff Wayne's The War of the Worlds - The New Generation. The reworking of his 1970's album, good in parts but good enough to persuade me to buy a copy.

Back on topic....

Perhaps its the legendary missing tools for the Otaki 1/144th scale Galaxy.

Jeff Wayne has re-made the musical version with some contemporary artists. Gary Barlow sings Forever Autumn, that much I do know.

I will pick a copy up anyway. There is supposed to be some small differences but no real 'new' content.

At least it will bring this wonderful piece of work to a new audience.

Steve.
