Thanks you all for your support during this build and as always special thanks to Lloyd King (llking) for suggesting the scheme, to Mike Mcellaney for his help with research and encouragement during the build.

Thats a great looking P51, the finish is superb and a credit to you. Did the decal sheet show you to place the bar and star upside

down on the underside?

Look forward to seeing it on a BM Display ( MK ?? ) soon

Thanks guys,

Martyn, thanks for that, total cock-up by me, too many late nights... I've taken down the photo while I fix it.

Top job there Mish. :thumbsup2:

I did a 1/48 one in that scheme, a victim of The Great Roof Disaster of 2002. :(

That's a mighty fine build and paint job there Mish. You have taken a near 'perfect' kit (by all accounts) and made a near perfect job of it. It's difficult to fins anything to constructively criticise but since I know you appreciate that sort of thing I gave it a few more looks. Comparing the model with the the reference photo you posted, I wonder if your representation isn't perhaps a little too clean and shiny. Other than that, it's outstanding and I think a likely GB winner too.

Thanks for sharing Mish. That's a stunner.

BTW, are the checkers a decal? And how did you paint the spinner so well?

Cheers

Dave

Thanks Don, if you know where to look you'll see the little errors.

Thanks Dave, yes it is a two part decal. The spinner took me three attempts to paint. In the end it was down to ver careful masking.

I followed your build from the half way point. These kits look superb and you've done it proud.

Nice job, Mish! It's not too often that I see an OD over grey bubble top Stang. Very nice indeed.

Cheers,

Bill
