  1. That's definately not a dissapointing finish BB, I've had dissapointing and that's not it !! Si.
  2. Wow chaps, I can't belive this has surfaced again after so long!! I've just had a wave of goose-bumbs reading all your very kind comments, and I promise, I really do, that I'll be taking up the hobby again soon! So much has happened to me and the wife over the last twelve months or so, I went partially blind,( that was fun...not!), had some major blood pressure issues, crashed the car and within the next couple of months the wife and I are expecting our first, a little boy !! The current dio - titled 'Grandma's Anckles' - is still ongoing, so more daft on its way.....sooon! Cheers all, Si.
  3. I've been having a go at being a bit ill which also included a spell of partial blindness in one eye so modelling has been well off the cards for a good while now ! I'm back to fighting fitness now though, even more so now you've inspired me yet again ! BTW I have made a working desk lamp in 48th scale using a watch bulb so it is possible:- http:// http:// Can't wait for more sir, Si.
  4. My word Fozzy!! How I've missed this for so long, sorry mate !! As always I'm loving your work. How about liberating an old digital watch of its filament back-light and making that map light work for real ?!! I'll be back soon to myther you soon after my somewhat extended, unplanned break !! Si.
  5. Aye, you've not done a bad job at all on this Oliver, not bad at all mate ! (I was lost for words ages ago)!! RFI'ing soon ? Si.
  6. I'm still plugging away, done some bits on the hangar internal walls and stuff, think I go a bit too daft with these dio's of mine !! Here's a pic of the compressor I've managed to finish and managed to get the little motor in the lath running ! http:// There really will be more soon, honest ! Si.
  7. Superb work, its inspiring me to get mine underway again! Si.
  8. Excellent work Martin as I've come to expect ! I'm still about but having trouble getting my motor started !! Si.
  9. Excellent stuff as usual Oliver. I'm still knocking about, keeping an eye on 'yall !! Si.
  10. Have you tried any trophy shops? We have one near us that does fishing gear and makes trophy bases and the like. Si.
  11. Answers on a post card indeed, I'm going through a similar mojo fail at the moment but at least your managing a decent build in the meantime! Si.
  12. Lovely work Nobb's, very tidy indeed sir! Si.
  13. It really does look superb Oliver and you know how much I love a good engine ! Si.
  14. Hiya Cam! Nice to see you building again, and I didn't know that about the U/C doors on the TSR, mine got knocked off anyway !! Looking forward to more, Si.
  15. Nice work Foz, I was wondering what you've been up to over the hols! Did you have a good break BTW? Si.
  16. That's not a bad idea, metal stove pipe on the outside and some way of concealing the stick, might have a go at that! Thanks Adrian, I'm still trying for an overall Soviet feel! Cheers Don. There will be a filament lamp in there with a flickery driver to give it a random effect, some sweetie wrapper sounds spot on! Tonight I thought I'd have a go at a 1930/40-ish compressor. A few more bits and some paint should see this done:- ">http:// More on the way, Si.
  17. Cheers guys, glad your liking it !! Good idea with the pin-heads for knobs Nobby, I do enjoy making the twiddley bits, as for doll's house stuff the missus has already put in a request !! A wee bit of weathering on the stove:- ">http:// More soon, Si.
  18. Thanks chaps, getting any characters on the keys is beyond me, I rekon Nobby might be able to though!! Some more furniture and stuff earlier :- ">http://
