It's been my week, I think.

Spotted a Hillman Imp this morning, black paintwork, looked quite tidy, and it was in motion!

Trevor, a couple of my neighbours have them. Both fully restored, one is a 21 window model on a 65 plate. Hate to think what it's worth!

Today,

1. A red with black roof A40, three letter english reg so I don't know what year. Driver was a grey-head [owner too?], he'd tried to make it a 'rally car' look. It was on minilites but the suspension looked knackered and the engine was running rich as well as burning oil

2. An immaculate looking Mercedes 190E, the old type, three boxy saloon

Today in London, probably one of the most '70s cars I've seen in a long while - a brown over gold two-tone Silver Shadow. The only thing it was lacking for the full '70s effect was a vinyl roof! Looked absolutely mint though, far too nice for London traffic.

A very fruitful day today in the brilliant sunshine. In no particular order, A Garratt steam road locomotive, pulling a Discovery with a rigid link, with a trailer loaded with water carboys attached to that. A 10 h.p. Clyno saloon with a maroon fabric body. A white MGA with wire wheels, a white Morris 1000 with a red ragtop, a maroon Morris 1000 pickup, a blue Lotus Elan +2, a yellow Mk5 Escort ragtop, and a white MkV Sunbeam Rapier fastback. All on the A12 north or around Lowestoft.

Yesterday on the M4 eastbound on the way up to Hampshire, a stunning maroon Dolomite 1500 HL. Friend of mine used to have a Dolly Sprint which I used to think looked huge parked next to my Mk1 Escort,  couldn't believe how small the one we overtook yesterday looked! Then later on a lovely dark  red MGB roadster parked outside an equally lovely house!

A bright yellow Triumph Dolimite , N reg in Halfords car park , Scunthorpe yesterday morning. It was immaculate,  and looked small as it sat there next to a Fiesta.

This morning on the M4, an absolutely gorgeous 'Sebring look' MGB GT - bumperless and with bubble arches covering wide alloys, painted in gleaming brilliant white - really stunning little machine!

Also forgot, on the M4 westbound on the way home from Hampshre on Sunday, a pair of old Morgan 3 wheelers in convoy, one with unpainted aluminium bodywork and aeroscreens, the other in BRG with a 'proper' windscreen. Both with two very well wrapped up occupants!!

A 1958 vintage Ford Zephyr in black ‘progressing’ along Wirral’s B roads.

Nice.

Mixed in with Lincoln traffic this morning, An American car from about the mid 60's, a Chrysler I think.

Pale gold, mid sized, four doors and designed just using straight edged rulers but it looked glorious compared to all the modern stuff around it.

Later this afternoon I saw a Mk 2 Jaguar in nice condition in Lincoln. Again, it looked good against the boring stuff.

Canning Highway, Victoria Park. Western Australia today,

Scads of beautifully restored/preserved Austin Healeys making their way through 11:00am traffic. Adhesive badges on doors, so a rally of enthusiasts.

1987 Renault 11 spotted at Thornton Reservoir near Leicester on Sunday.

Honestly can't think when I last saw one.
