Mr Bowcat Posted July 13, 2020 Posted July 13, 2020 Hi guys, I finished this one up over the weekend. Usual Meng quality, went together really well. The only downside were the 6 piece track links that took forever to build. Paint is Hataka orange line lacquer, and the weathering was done with oils and pigments. 31
PlaStix Posted July 13, 2020 Posted July 13, 2020 Wow!! That's impressive. I do like your detailing and finish! Very well done. Kind regards, Stix
viper-30 Posted July 13, 2020 Posted July 13, 2020 Have one of these to build .have to say you have done a fabulous job of this
Mr Bowcat Posted July 13, 2020 Author Posted July 13, 2020 Cheers gents. Viper, be warned, the tracks are a massive PITA.
Jasper dog Posted July 14, 2020 Posted July 14, 2020 Superb, excellent paintwork and weathering and a base....what's not to like! Great work Darryl
Bullbasket Posted July 14, 2020 Posted July 14, 2020 It's not always easy to do a single colour scheme well, but you've really brought it to life. Nice one. John.
pacificmustang Posted July 14, 2020 Posted July 14, 2020 Great job! so the 50 cal. on top of the main gun is a remote fired weapon? Bruce
Terry1954 Posted July 14, 2020 Posted July 14, 2020 Very nicely done indeed. The colours and weathering especially so. Terry
Alpha Juliet Posted July 14, 2020 Posted July 14, 2020 Really nice - well done mate! Question - did you paint it green first then overspray with desert colour, or the other way around? Thanks
diablo rsv Posted July 14, 2020 Posted July 14, 2020 That looks really good and nicely presented as well.
Mr Bowcat Posted July 14, 2020 Author Posted July 14, 2020 Cheers guys. Bruce, not completely sure but I guess the .50 is either a co-axial or ranging gun, and I would imagine remotely operated. Alpha, no green was harmed in the painting of this vehicle. It was black undercoat and desert tan over the top of that. 2
Ernst Posted July 15, 2020 Posted July 15, 2020 Excellent build and great vignette. Those closeups are awesome. Great work.
