stips
The sun shining down on these green fields of France The warm wind blows gently and the red poppies dance The trenches have vanished long under the plow No gas, no barbed wire, no guns firing now But here in this graveyard that's still no man's land The countless white crosses in mute witness stand To man's blind indifference to his fellow man And a whole generation werebutchered and damned The song of Dropick Murphy, "The green fieleds of France" was my Inspiration for the first work on theme WWI. The models which I'm used for this diorama was; Mk.IV Male from Emhar. French Infantry from Airfix. German Infantry from Revell. For making the base I used natural materials (sand, earth, stone etc.) made by „Nature in scale“. It's a little grass that's seen is from „Noch“ Trenches are made from natural wooden slats. Other equipment, is made of resin and of the ther models remains. Colors, filters and washes which I used are from MIG ammo. All comments are welcome, and thanks for watching. 32

593jones
Outstanding diorama, very dramatic and brilliant workmanship especially in 1/72 scale! I'm pleased, too, to see you quoted the correct words from the song, the number of times I have heard it sung incorrectly beggars belief and really annoys me. Great work!
Badder
Brilliant evocative diorama, crammed with lovely details. I could spend hours looking at this. So, how long did it take to make? Rearguards, Badder

Martin Ford
My word that is superb, I could honestly stare at it for ages. Seeing the French soldiers in those poses really takes me back to when I was a lad with loads of toy soldiers. All the best, Martin Edited March 10, 2018 by Martin Ford
