Popular Post Zigomar
I have read a lot of very good comments on that model and most of them are true. A very pleasant build indeed with some tricky point in adjustment, mainly on the engine cover. The concept of building the tubular structure before joining the fuselage must be done with care, but, in the end worked very well. A few details have to be scratch build in order to make your Hurricane faithful: - Dress the back side of the radiator with the retraction mechanism using stretch sprue. Another one separate the front of the radiator (not done yet). - built three handles of 3mm long for the moveable part of the canopy, one is outside two are inside on each side of the hood. -a navigation light is to be placed 2mm before the antenna mast. - cables for the rudder on both sides ( I have to do those) As I wanted a SEAC Hurricane I choose the first deco of the box from the 34Sq in the spring of 44 in Imphal piloted by the Sq/leader CPN Newman. Most of the decal were scanned and then masks were done with the Silhouette. Only the personal insignia and stencils are decals. The guns from the kit have been just put in to their holes, not glued, waiting for the Master set to arrive. Once again a very nice kit and certainly a strong candidate for those in love with heavy weathering. Andy Dyck
Hi Jean, that’s a real cracker. It turns out just as I like it. Superb weathering. A little bit heavier, but not overdone. Very nice also all these details. What did you use for the landing lights? These black parts ? Are they from Bregun? I am building this one too and I agree completely with you. Nice kit, but the cockpit frame is a little bit tricky. But finally it works I’ll hope. Just want to put the fuselage on the wings. So I’ll hope it turns out half as good as yours. really fantastic work there!👍👍👍👍👍👍😃😃 all the best my friend Andy
Zigomar
Danke Andy. Yes the black parts on the wing lights are from Brengun. Concerning the weathering, beware, those rivets are holding more than their share of washes and are hard to clean without destroying the effects. Have a nice day.

GiampieroSilvestri
Superbe Jean! J'aimerais faire un Hurricane MkI capture par les Italiens mais malheureusement il n'y a pas des maquettes des premiers versions avec ailes couvertes de toile. Retired Bob
A lovely build of this excellent kit. I agree, the Brengun landing lights are a necessary requirement for the Hurricane. 2
