Violet Club
It is a good new, but I hope that the kit won't be full of inaccuracies like many HB aircraft kits ! We are still waiting for a good U-2 in 1/72 2
Bedders
Hmm, very interesting, I'd like to do a U-2. Like VC above, I hope it's accurate. Justin
Hook
Excellent! It looks at least as good as the Airfix and its Academy knockoff. I just hope the price will be decent, unlike their 1/72nd Skyhawks. Cheers, Andre

GRIM REAPER
I was really hoping for a modern version, but this will still be welcomed by many.
Piotr Mikolajski
Maybe we'll see other variants too.
cvrle
I'm cautiously looking forward to this one...
Mike Esposito
I usually model 1/48, but the U2 wingspan is too great. This will be most welcome.

Considering how long the Airfix and its Academy knockoff have been the only injected first generation U-2 kits in 1/72nd, I wouldn't be surprised if the SH kits will not have a successor in the coming decade. Unfortunately. Cheers, Andre
Tanage
If that’s meant to be a U-2A it shouldn’t have a System 20 fairing on the starboard wing trailing edge (the little pod between the flaps and aileron).
Ad-4N
With all HB, I've learned to wait until trusted experts review the plastic.

I'm afraid we have no choice with more esoteric subjects. At least this one should be cheaper than second hand older kits and aftermarket correction/detail sets should be available sooner than later. One of your banned former members was quite specific about the coloring for the CIA and early USAF aircraft as blue, not black, and he was correct, according to the official CIA history of the U-2 program (now declassified). If I'm not mistaken, all of the A aircraft were converted to C's (wider intakes for the J-75) by the time the USAF began painting them black, circa 1965.
