  1. Yes, very old now but it's still on the site somewhere!
  2. Thank you for this excellent tip! Volks Store has this on pre-order for Β₯12.500 (approx Β£58) which is a bargain - if you're happy to play customs roulette.
  3. I have taken the plunge and pre-ordered this from Jadlam (Β£94.99 minus my Β£12 discount) which I think will be very much worth it. The Hybrid model concept hopefully will become a standard for the industry for these high-end products.
  4. This really doesn't look like the disaster as advertised πŸ˜‚ it's quite a gallant effort in fact! A rather unique subject, finished to a standard I think we'd all be pleased with. It's certainly a very interesting ship as modelled πŸ†
  5. Very well done, both the neat, sharp modelling but also the RC conversion. Good to see her sailing!
  6. Very nice project, and I'm glad you made it work πŸ†
  7. Superb work, one of the best aircraft cockpits I've seen from the kit. Beautifully done πŸ†
  8. They should definitely do it. And reactivate the B-1B production while they're at it. And the Navy should reactivate the Iowa's 🀩
  9. Would love to be able to see this, but UK is blocked πŸ˜₯
  10. Now I can see it! Absolutely brilliant job. Looks alive with activity, not to take away the excellent build quality as well πŸ†
  11. Great project! I'm sure this will look brilliant when it's done. So far it's been an education for me, I've only used plug and play lighting before, the thought of building it myself is kind of scary πŸ˜‚ I used to fly these back in the day, you never really get used to the size of these beasts!
  12. Superb job on such a huge canvas πŸ† in particular the photoetch and rigging. First ship? What a great intro! Alan
  13. Really fascinating thread @Farmer matt showcasing a bygone age which has really piqued my nostalgic yearning! I'm currently watching my dad's health rapidly deteriorate (of course it was him who sparked the love for modelling in me as a little kid) and seeing this really choked me up, because reading the model magazines and applying for obscure kits through the classifieds was one of his foibles. Thanks for these memories πŸ₯²
  14. This is interesting, bringing me full circle since the mid-2000s...the very first type of these I ever used were MV Lenses which I used to buy from a model train company! Thanks for the tip @RichardE
