A new Lease of Life for a Tamiya Cromwell - Finished.

Recommended Posts

For anyone who hasn't read the WIP for this build, the basics of it are as follows;

It was originally built around twenty years ago, out of the box as an aide to get me interested in 1/35th scale armour. Then about seven years ago, I decided to revamp it by stripping it down and rebuilding it as a Mk.lVf. If you're interested in reading the WIP, it's here;

This is the finished article, starting with how it looked after the first build.

A really quality build. Top to bottom, front to back just right in every aspect. The first version looked great but you've managed to enhance it. :goodjob: 👍 👍 👍

Nice work indeed. Those pots and pans hanging on the back remind me of a real photo from the NW Europe campaign. And the improved smoke dischargers look good too.

Not bad, not bad at all, in fact it`s rather good, it`s that good it`s stirred my Mojo, like a slop jockeys ladle in a "Norgie" of range stew!

Very nice John, really really good.

Glad to see the top secret velcro rope is still holding on. 😉

The simple base really enhances it too. As does the photography, I rather like the black background, sets it off very nicely.

Great work

I may have the same photo. It's of a couple of Cromwells disabled by mines.

Many thanks Ian.

Thanks a lot Darryl. It was either velcro or a liberal dollop of PVA glue.

'Morning Ed, and thank you very much. Yes, as old as it is, it's still a good kit and can hold it's own against the Airfix and SKP offerings.

Thanks very much Stuart, and thank for pointing out my oversight. Memory is getting worse:doh: All sorted now.
