AliGauld
This really is a kit of opposites. The cockpit internals and the overall fit is beautiful but the fit of the nacelles leaves a little to be desired. Nothing a spot of filler and plasticard can't fix but it was a surprise after the ease of building the rest. The side glazing gave me a bit of a headache as there was a little bend in both but the fit of these may have been down to me if i'd misaligned something earlier in the build. Primed with Mr. Finishing Surfacer Black 1500. Painted with Colourcoats Interior Grey Green. SMS Forest Green, Dark Earth and Insignia White. Tamiya Flat Aluminium, Dark Iron, Gun Metal, Nato Black, Rubber Black, Clear Red and Clear Green. Revell Fiery Red Enamel Washed with Windsor & Newton Burnt Sienna in Lighter fluid. Windsor & Newton Oils used for a dot filter. Various stains with Abteilung 502 Smoke. Aftermarket Used: Quinta Cockpit Decal Set. XtraDecal X48232 Avro Anson Mk.I Collection Pt. 2 Thanks very much for looking, Cheers, Alistair 47
Cklasse
Very nice 👍. I just received this plane as a prize and wondered do I want to build or sell the kit. I may build if there is an interesting marking for this Anson. 1

72modeler
Museum quality, all the way! None of the issues you outlined seemed to stop you from building one of the best efforts I have seen of the new-tool Airfix kit. Unusual but very distinctive colors and markings. It's RAAF, it's an Anson, and it's in God's Own Scale- what's not to like! Good on ya, Alistair! Mike
Dunny
Alistair, I agree with your assessment of the kit, but whatever its (minor) faults you have built a simply beautiful model of this most attractive scheme. Great work, Cheers, Roger 1

Great work, Cheers, Roger Thanks very much Roger. You are spot on the faults are minor but I think they may seem worse when you are building due to the exquisite fit of the rest. I will admit it does look good in the scheme. Cheers, Alistair
