Lifeline Posted June 24, 2022 Posted June 24, 2022 (edited) Fujimi 1/72 F-14A Tomcat OOB other than Custom printed decals, and safety pin for the AoA probe. Paint from Ammo MIG's Modern US Navy Paint set. The kit started of as a build for local group build here, but I passed the deadline. Depicting "Voodoo 1" from the well known "documentary" of the most dramatic air-air engagement in post-vietnam war US Navy history. Above the indian ocean, in 1986, Voodoo 1 was able to defend against 6 enemy migs and even score a kill despite being damaged from enemy gun fire. The pilot, who was a top graduate from the Navy Fighter Weapons School prior to the engagement, will ultimately reach the rank of admiral as the US Pacific Fleet Commander later in his career. A deep review of the engagement by The Operations Room channel on YouTube can be seen here; With the adversary 1/72 Hobbyboss "Mig-28" Cheers, Mario Edited June 24, 2022 by Lifeline 41
busnproplinerfan Posted June 24, 2022 Posted June 24, 2022 Real nice work, glad these pilots were able to stop a war back in '86. 2
Linus Posted June 24, 2022 Posted June 24, 2022 Very good work, and super weathering, my compliments Sir!!! 1
Vultures1 Posted June 24, 2022 Posted June 24, 2022 Very nice work! I particularly like the patchy and well-worn finish on the Tomcat 1
ErikT Posted June 24, 2022 Posted June 24, 2022 I have to echo the comments so far. Your weathering and worn paint job on the Tomcat looks awesome! 1
BerndM Posted June 27, 2022 Posted June 27, 2022 Nice builds. The worn look of the F-14 is an eye catcher. 1
Lord Riot Posted June 27, 2022 Posted June 27, 2022 Love that, a fine tribute to the best film of all time! 1
