Keeff
Well, like so many here, I returned to the hobby during 2021 after many years away and set about revisiting past skills, which to be honest didn't take that long as there weren't that many, and learning some new ones .... which is now an ongoing process 😏 Apart from completing what has to be the longest build of a 1/24th Hurricane ever, I set myself the challenge of completing a full interior kit. I felt satisfaction at completing it, but often though what a stupid idea it was when there seemed to be no progress, despite hours at the operating table. Anyway, here's the sum total of my somewhat stop/start production line ....... First up, the resin fire-fighter figure purchased some time in the distant past and left for over 20 years .... Then came 'Project Hurricane' .... aka 'The longest build' The Italeri Landrover came next .... This was followed by the infamous 'Dirty Sherman' .... when I got carried away with damage and weathering Then I moved onto AFV Clubs Scimitar FV107 ..... much better! And finally, Ryefields M4A3E8 Sherman with the full interior ... 'The challenge' Build log is here ..... And for my next trick ...... Thanks for dropping by and, as always, comments welcome! May you all enjoy a great festive period and here's to the next year of chucking plastic together! Keith 😁 Edited December 18, 2023 by Keeff Extra picture added
Heather Kay
The Hurricane looks splendid, and well worth the effort. I think I like the "exploded" Sherman best, though. What a novel way to show off the internal detail.
Keeff
Thank you Heather! The Hurricane is not my best work and took some wrestling to build as parts weren't at their best after being in storage for so long. I quite fancy building another having learnt from building his one. As for the Sherman .... such a shame to hide all that work! Keith 😁
JeroenS
I like that Sherman as well, very cool. A good way to solve the "I've painstakingly built the interior but now you can't see it" problem.
Muchmirth
I hadn’t seen the scimitar before, great job. Also the exposed inwards of the Sherman is terrific! Great work for 2023 keef!
Farmerboy
Cracking set of models, but the exploding Sherman takes top prize!🏆

Bertie McBoatface
The Sherman is very memorable, with the very tasty interior paintwork. However, since you modelled almost the same damage to the port wing as I once inflicted on the starboard wing of one - my favourite is the Landrover. Our MT sergeant was very nice about it and it only cost me a crate of ale.

What were the chances of me doing that? Luckily, this time no ale is involved! 🤣 Keith 😁
AliGauld
They all look stunning but the Sherman and the Hurricane certainly grabbed my interest. Cheers, Alistair
LorenSharp
I have to agree with my fellow modeller. The Sherman is the absolute best I've ever seen. Of any type.
