replicant Posted October 23, 2017 Posted October 23, 2017 Hello, this is my second Flagon in polished NMF... Cheers! 20
Paramedic Posted October 23, 2017 Posted October 23, 2017 It looks really nice. Do you have more pics of it? 1
replicant Posted October 23, 2017 Author Posted October 23, 2017 ...tis was no easy build, but the nicknamed "Nail" looks great to me... 3
replicant Posted October 23, 2017 Author Posted October 23, 2017 This original 05 was photographed for TASS and brandnew... 4
replicant Posted October 23, 2017 Author Posted October 23, 2017 The camera pod is borrowed from Amodel kit 5
Vultures1 Posted October 23, 2017 Posted October 23, 2017 That's a stunning Flagon! And great work with the VES kit, which I understand is not the easiest build 1
Dmitry Stelmakh Posted October 24, 2017 Posted October 24, 2017 Excellent! This is a horrible set, but you made a great model! 1
Head in the clouds. Posted October 24, 2017 Posted October 24, 2017 Superb. I am not a Russian fan but I do like the older kites. 1
bearmatt Posted October 24, 2017 Posted October 24, 2017 I really like this one. The pilot and the turning nose wheel are giving the little extra to the scene. Great job overall. B. 1
RidgeRunner Posted October 24, 2017 Posted October 24, 2017 (edited) Oh yes, very nice! Martin Edited October 24, 2017 by RidgeRunner 1

David H Posted October 24, 2017 Posted October 24, 2017 Oh wow that is nice. I like the Su-15; it kind of reminds me of the F-101 Voodoo, with a long fuselage, big engines, and a tiny wing. I'll bet it wasn't much of a turning machine.... -d- 1

I think I read in 'MiG Pilot' by Viktor Belenko and John Barron that the PVO aircraft were often called 'elevators'.. So I guess you're right :-) Rob 1

So I guess you're right :-) Rob Thank you all, mates! I am glad you like it. Yes, the "Nail" was all burning, not turning, a true interceptor, mad max climb rate, some would call that thing Lightning or Viggen. I love these real analog thundermachines, one as sexy as the other!! .... russian crews were supervised by ground control, they ordered, what to do....
72modeler Posted October 24, 2017 Posted October 24, 2017 R, The only reason I looked at this build was I saw your name was on it- yep, I was right; another beautiful model! Love the metal toning, too! A very distinctive-looking jet. Well, done! Mike 1
