Specials may not be to everyone's taste, but I know that unit personnel love them...it gives them a chance to 'let rip' and let their hair down a little.

I love the schemes shown so far, and that Hawk with the PC10 and WW1 unit stripes...very retro. Thanks for the opportunity to have a vote. :)

Well anyone looking forward to the Typhoons is doing well! 29 (Reserve) Squadron over the line with another stunner...

Yes indeed...posted here and here. It looks pretty good in my view. Like the Harrier version the gloss detracts slightly but it you want a display jet that stays clean for a long time then gloss is usually the preferred option.

Here's another that's popped up here. A proposal for the E-3D...

Been a long time coming this one. Are there any 'normal' Typhoons left at Coningsby?

There's more than one special still to come this year as well...

Talk about a late arrival but nonetheless a VERY welcome addition to the ever growing variety...

IX Squadron have today flown their centenary jet.

Wow - that Battle of Britain Typhoon is absolutely amazing! I was hoping the RAF would pull out the stops for this! Now, I need Xtradecal to add this to a sheet, and for Revell to reissue their 1/48th Typhoon! I have a backlog of Typhoon specials that is rapidly expanding! Funnily enough, I did a 1/144 Revell Typhoon in almost exactly this scheme as a WHIF for the 75th Anniversary of the BoB about three years ago.

Saw a shot on Twitter earlier and had to call my mate across the office to look. Her response was an excited squeal, which only a misplaced sense of manliness prevented me from echoing. This is simply superb. Now I want to see it in a two ship with the BoB flight veteran, rather than the later marks, but I suspect there may be a speed differential to worry about!
