Shar2
I really like that, nice to see some other commemorative schemes. Thanks for sharing.
AjD
These 'retro' schemes don't always work in my view but I have to say I quite like this one. The addition of the finer artwork on the fins is a nice touch.
depressed lemur
Looks very nice! The only issue I have it that it is very glossy and I can never get a good finish with gloss.
Rickpadwick1801
Looks very nice. My wife said she didn't think it looked right for the hornet Thanks for sharing. Rick

Mike
Now there's a reason to build a Hornet if ever there was one What's the variant? I think it would have looked good with a red or black nose to finish off the scheme.
bentwaters81tfw
That Sky type 'S' is a bit off!
Nigel Foster60
That is an absolute beauty, I just hope someone does the decals in a 1/72 scale set. Thank you for sharing. Nigel
Paul J
Hmmm! Its the Legacy Hornet, CF-18A Mike. I too am now wondering who will do the decals... Leading Edge hopefully. But it seems only the top sides are treated leaving the lower colour pretty standard.

upnorth
I love how they've even gone so far as to put red gun tape and muzzles on the leading edge flaps! If decals for this come out, I'd put money on either Leading Edge or Canuck Models to do them. @Mike: To be perfectly exact, it's a CF-188AM variant. The AM and BM resulted from the Incremental Modernization Project involving the existing Canadian A and B versions. The main external differences were to antenna fit, such as the "bird slicer" set in front of the windscreen. Also, stiffener plates were put on the wings and vertical tails. While this link is to Wikipedia, with the usual caveats that implies, it will give you some general insight into what was done to create the AM and BM versions: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/McDonnell_Douglas_CF-18_Hornet
