Muller Posted September 14, 2011 Posted September 14, 2011 (edited) This is one nice little kit, I didn't need any filler at all. The only complaint would be the decals are on the thick side, LOTS of setter needed. I started the build as the E-7 trop option, thats why the drop tank rack is fitted, but I had a bit of a disaster with the decals (I applied the crosses without a coat of Klear and couldn't get them to conform to the panel lines). So I stripped it and went with the E-3 Romanian option. I tried some post-shading on this one which is a first, also I used some artists masking fluid applied with a sponge for the chipping, a bit excessive I think, but should look good on the next Japanese warbird I do! Thanks for looking! Edited September 14, 2011 by Muller

Muller Posted September 14, 2011 Author Posted September 14, 2011 Cheers fellas I'd highly recommend this kit, I reckon its nicer than the Tamiya offering.

inernutshell Posted September 18, 2011 Posted September 18, 2011 LOVE this work!!!! OUTSTANDING paint and weathering! Love the last pic too ..... sure looks real! romainian markings sure are beautifull on a 109! Ive got a 1/32 trumpeter 109 in the stash with techmod Romainian markings decal sheet. I really want to break this out NOW after seeing this beauty, but I do have a 1/32 WNW albatross, 1/32 revell hurri and a trumpeter 1/32 Jug all on the go in various stages of assemply!!!!!!!!! DISCIPLINE......... must finish at least ONE of these birds FIRST!!!!!!!!!
Ian Posted September 18, 2011 Posted September 18, 2011 Can't add any more to what the rest of the chaps have said. Really nicely done. Like that a whole lot ! Ian
Navy Bird Posted September 19, 2011 Posted September 19, 2011 Wow, really nice, and a refreshing change from the innumerable German versions. I especially like your subtle weathering on the panel lines, and the paint chipping. I'm always tempted to do chipping on my WWII builds, but always chicken out. One of these days... Cheers, Bill
