  1. Beautiful Build and good to see it in Billy Coleman's colours, I might do likewise with mine.
  2. Beautifully Done, great work with an all black subject
  3. Tidy work, very nice, its a handsome machine! Richard McC
  4. Great kit this, I just finished mine, one observation, if you file off the little location tabs on the exhaust stubs, they can be fitted after the engine is in place and the fuselage is closed up. Work from front to back each side! Richard McC
  5. Always have an emergency bowl of water standing by, a curled decal often unravels itself if put back in the water.....gives you time for a 'Plan B' at least. Richard McC
  6. A Handsome machine and beautifully done! Richard McC
  7. Completely Gorgeous......without reservation! Richard McC
  8. My thoughts exactly and as I recall the old GR5 came with plenty of noses. Richard
  9. Airfix do a nice 5, you could kit bash the new 7 back to a five, if the raised panel lines on the original bother you. Richard McC
  10. Beautiful build, you can almost hear it, I beats me why anyone would want to shorten two beautiful words like Hispano Suiza to 'Hisso' But maybe thats just me :-) Once again absolutely without reservation, 1st Class. Richard McC
  11. I think a more accurate description would be 'most' or 'quite a lot' off a Ferguson Tractor. Richard McC
  12. Beautiful work representing yet another of my stash that im afraid to start, your use of the word SLOG isnt helping either
  13. If you ever do a Diahatsu Fourtrak I have a diorama idea. Vehicle with punctured front nearside tire parked in ditch near bus shelter, Destroyed Cannondale R600 CAAD5 lying in road, Cyclist with broken leg, collar bone and severe road rash lying in the opposite lane. For full details PM me the look on the Fiesta drivers (who was coming the other way) face as he struggled to avoid running me down (for the second time in 10 seconds) will stay with me for ever.
  14. Fabulous work as has been said, If I could make a tiny suggestion.....some 'lead in' tracks to show how the vehicle got there would just put the cherry on top. Richard McC
  15. Whether or not you spend time around 'Real' aircraft is irrelevant, unless the aircraft (in this particular case) was built and painted in the 1940's, was made of wood, and was used operationally and then vacuum packed (assuming you are not 80 years old). The fact of the matter is, if you look at contemporary photographs of Mosquitos (lets face it our only source of information) the underlying structure of the aircraft is reflected (for what ever reason) in the paint finish, unless (as commented earlier) it is paintshop fresh. The depiction here is (at worst) a little uniform but it does reflect reality. This model would win 'all kinds of awards' at shows and rightly so Richard McC
  16. Superbly built and painted, a cursory look at most photos of the Mosquito shows it to have a patchy appearance (unless its paint shop fresh) Weathering isnt just a mechanical function, expansion /' contraction and chemical elements all come together to degrade a painted finish, perhaps the varying skin thicknesses (and therefore their ability to absorb heat and cold) and expansion rates lead to a patchy look. Brilliant Richard McC
  17. Nice job BUT.............Dramatic Pause.......you didnt tell us how fast it went Richard McC
  18. Beautiful work, I have the recovery variant, never quite had the nerve to start it. Richard McC
  19. No 'Rathers', or 'quites' here, that kit never looked better, in ecexution or presentation Top Job Richard McC
  20. Who supplies the paint? I have to say If it was my paint company who supplied the paint that went on the Red Arrows machines, Id be SUpplying it and APplying it for free. (a sort of sponsorship deal if you like) In the grand scheme of things it cant cost THAT much to apply and maintain the finish on 9 relatively small aircraft. Richard McC
  21. You keep Wellies in the Roofspace?
