After much ado, here are the first of the finished pics for this beast:

Snow? Dandruff? Neither - sanding dust from an as yet undisclosed project ;)

I'll edit this post to add a few more once I've converted them. :)

Ooh, and build thread here if anyone's got an afternoon to kill

Mike - shes a beaut - and about time too!!

I like your treatment of the white underside - hard to make white look used and dirty without losing the whiteness - but that looks the biz.

So, next finished one in 2010 then ? :)

Well Mikey, bunsen burner powered things with wings aren't really my cup of tea but, vacs are and you've made an excellent job of this!

Respect!!!!!

Simply stunning. Excellent stuff!!! You should be rightly very pleased with this one Mike.

Well done, I really like that... apart from the scale snow in the first shot :wicked:

The weathering treatment on the underside looks great. Hard to think that it's all come from a vacform, just goes to show that it can be done, and well. Nice to see it finally finished ;)

when I saw the first pic I thought it was a HARRIER :analintruder:

Ace build Mike

Well at least I was closer, I thought it was a McDonnell F-3 Demon in Brit markings :fraidnot:

Very, very nice, I do like that Mike!! And you've given me the inspiration to get on & finish my Dynavector Javelin - next year or the year after....!!!! :P:D

Lovely build of a great looking jet! :speak_cool:

Thanks for the kind words folks ^_^ I might take a few more today & edit my original post again... I'm still thinking about repainting the grey on the underside leading edges though, in case the purists were wondering. :hmmm:

Nicely done Mike, not too familiar with Dynavector, is this a mutli media kit?

Ray

Yes Ray, it's a Mutley media kit ;) Main parts are vacform, but the wheels & such are white metal. There's a rudimentary cockpit made of both mediums, but the seat is hopelessly over-simplified, and it needs a little work to get nearer the real thing. Have a look in the first few pages of my build thread for further info :)

Thanks... it's really grown on me since I started building it... so much so that I'm seriously considering seeing if Taro has another in his stock so I can build another one at some point. Very tempted to build one with all the airbrakes, flaps & slats deployed :wicked:

Blimey he's finished it !!!!!!thought I'd never live to see it :clif::winkgrin:

Superb build Mike, I see what you mean about the subtle shading , you certainly do the beautiful lines of the old girl justice.
