seanrgb
Built this around 2004 originally painted by paint brush ..but last week I gave it another coat of paint with the airbrush , for the main fuselage I used Tamiya XF25 .. Mixed with light bright blue and lightened down with white for the weathering I used X19 Smoke , and the upper wings I used Revell Aqua 75 .. Stebos
I like the starkness of this, the lack of markings really shows off the menacing lines without nasty old camo getting in the way. Excellent!

Julien
I have to say a very good paint job, its getting really to look like those RAF phantoms I have seen. I mean look how clean this one is; I mean did they put some sort of dirt/oil magnet in that grey paint? Troffa
Hi Sean, Shouldn't the (albeit empty) ECM fairings be installed on the intake shoulders of an F-4J(UK)? I 'm not sure if these were ever removed from the UK 'J's. Should be easy to scratch or perhaps you still have the parts in the spares box. Another nice touch would be the day-glo dot on the side of the aircraft where the Oil Breather port is on the Spey engined Phantoms- As UK crews used the breather port and the wing tip to correctly formate on each other, they needed the dot to simulate the port on the J-79 engined aircraft. see what I mean here: http://www.airliners.net/open.file/1459918/L/ Cheers, troffa

Troffa
Nice one Sean, didn't know any of our J's didnt have the fairings installed. As for the day-glo spot : Its in both of those pictures, and in the link I posted , in your second pic its just above the trailing edge of the wing tip.
