  1. Thanks ever so much for your kind offer Tentacles, but I have the Voyager manual myself- I think it's the best reference out there! Live long and prosper!

  4. They are a little elusive when you want a look at them- Here is a close shot of the front of one from Mark Hayward's excellent walkround site: http://www.primeportal.net/hangar/mark_hayward/phantom_fgr.2 Gloria Finis! Mark
  5. Just found out it was a USAF MC-130J at Yeovilton this afternoon. Nice to see.
  6. I saw a Hercules on the Climb out of Yeovilton a couple of hours ago- was it one of these machines, or a foreign aircraft?
  7. Here's what they thought over on Large Scale Planes: LSP "Best 109" thread
  8. Gloria Finis! Great example of one of 43(F)'s VC's. They traded in for them for their Hurricanes and fought up the Italian boot. Thanks for posting.
  9. Looks like an airborne greenhouse! Great effort!
  10. Superb model Sir, I think the finish is spectacular, and as a fellow modeller, although not at your pristine standard, I fully appreciate the work and effort you have put in to this kit since the moment you opened the box lid. One question I have, not too critical if you answer, but is that what is known as a "Canadian Canopy"? Inspiring work, thanks for sharing. Troffa 🙂
  11. Now there's a piece of history- thanks, as ever, for posting!
  12. I note that the Lotus is an "S" Plate 🙂 ah, 1977- happy days ! Great looking models, really nice paint jobs

  15. Hi Viper- did you find a cutaway? That JPG file won't show for me- have you a better link? Regards, Troffa
  16. Dear Viper tester- I Absolutely love your lifetime contribution to Aviation and your exquisite recording of the same- as an old piece of "Pan-Trash" or "Line-Swine" who has been on the periphery of this kind of stuff for a few decades, I admire and appreciate your posts- they help make Britmodeller one of the most significant modelling sites on the web. Thank you very much. Ad Inexplorata!
  17. Well I certainly wasn't expecting that. Poor girl.
  18. Fabulous photo's! Thank you so much for posting these inspirational memories from your Grandfather!

  20. The Italian Development aircraft P09 (X587) is a cracking scheme. Best of luck mate!
  21. Hi Muzz, thanks for the correction, I must have mixed the Photo dates around- Doh! 🤪 I will amend my original post. Cheers, Troffa
  22. Hi Billy, thanks for your reply- I think we are talking of different subjects here, but I am not typing in a second language, so I may have misunderstood. Your links appear to feature the Radome or nose cone of the Phantom, which did indeed weather heavily in SEA, but I was refering to the IFF antenna which is on the fuselage spine just behind the rear canopy. I would not expect this to be painted over, but photographic evidence is hard to find. Here is the best photo I can find, the black circle behind the behind the WSO canopy, just in front of the Identification light. IFF Antenna pic Cheers, Troffa
