Reini78
#1/2017 So, finally also my dad has finished his first model in the new year, continuing the Near/Middle East theme with an IAF Meteor that fought during the Suez Crisis in 1956. The Meteors were Israel´s first jet aircraft, therefore they served in the No.117 Squadron, also called the "First Jet Squadron". Airfix kit, Isradecals, Vallejo Metal Color Aluminium, antennas on spine are scratch. Darren Rhodes
Very nice, the high speed silver along with blue stars makes for quite a combination that I have not seen often. Darren

robgizlu
That looks great - the Vallejo paint has come out really well. Really striking build. You've made me want to build one. Fabulous work Rob

exdraken
missed this one obviously!!!! great model! (but I'd prefer the first photo shoot's results somehow! better focus? longer lense?)

Camera and lense are the same, maybe due to different lighting and angles and more space now the pics look slightly different. Because of the limited space of the lightcube I moved closer to the model with the camera.

John Masters
Really lovely. Question...how much weight was needed in the nose?

Can't remember, was something mentionend in the Airfix instructions? If so my dad added a bit more, if not it was with gut feeling. What I can say is that the model is now very nose heavy 🙂

Paul If you can, make time for a trip to the Air force museum at Hatzarim (near Beer Sheeva). I've never seen so many Meteors in one place. mackem01
A very nice, and very different take on the Airfix Meteor, I've got a couple in the attic but they aren't near the top of the build pile. Excellent job, well done.
