elger
Finished the Tamiya & Airfix Mosquitos. The FB.VI has the Airfix fuselage and Tamiya wings; the B.IV has the Airfix fuselage, Airfix upper wings and Tamiya lower wings. The B.IV's canopy is from Revell, and the fuel tanks are from Revell too. Used Eduard stuff and Aires stuff on the interiors, and Ultracast goodies for the exteriors. FB.VI decals from Aviology (excellent) and the B.IV's decals were cobbled together - AZ-H from the Revell kit's decal sheet. Thanks for looking! Comments & feedback is welcome, as always. andym
Not a Mosquito expert so I'm no doubt going to ask the bleeding obvious, but why not just use the two Tamiya kits of these versions? Thanks, Andy

elger
Not a Mosquito expert so I'm no doubt going to ask the bleeding obvious, but why not just use the two Tamiya kits of these versions? Thanks, Andy well I was inspired by Yoyuso's amazing Mosquito build (http://www.geocities.jp/yoyuso/mosquito/mosquitoe-1.html) and became obsessed with the notion (hence the "fever") that the Airfix fuselages are better than Tamiya's. They are, but whether it's worth all this trouble is another matter. Won't be doing this again probably :-)
Dan
Outstanding! A Mosquito is next for me and having just read your WIP and seen your end result here it's bookmarked for reference.
