GordonD Posted October 20, 2011 Posted October 20, 2011 Airfix Captain Scarlet Angel Interceptor (A02026) released now! I fancy doing one of those in RAF markings as a What-If...!
Mike Posted October 20, 2011 Posted October 20, 2011 Take off the T-tail, shorten the nose and de-crank the wings, and it looks a bit like a Tiffie
Col. Posted October 20, 2011 Posted October 20, 2011 I can see a few of these getting whiffed up in the next wee while. Of course it just so happens there's a suitable GB coming up as well...
jacksdad Posted October 20, 2011 Posted October 20, 2011 Take off the T-tail, shorten the nose and de-crank the wings, and it looks a bit like a Tiffie That's a bit scary.
Rob P Posted October 20, 2011 Posted October 20, 2011 Question is, have they changed the moulds back to pre-SnapFast? I'd forgotten how few parts were in the kit
jacksdad Posted October 20, 2011 Posted October 20, 2011 Question is, have they changed the moulds back to pre-SnapFast? I'll just make sure they do................................... oo

Kallisti Posted October 20, 2011 Posted October 20, 2011 Order submitted, wonder if I'll have time after the B5 Starfury to consider tacking this as well for the SF GB
Av8fan Posted October 20, 2011 Posted October 20, 2011 (edited) Take a look at these whatif profiles thanks to Clave RAF colonial viper RAF USCG Angel Danish angel this version has Grey/Green Camo. Substitute the appropriate markings and I think you will get the idea. France 11 sqdrn Fantastic work, a lot of great ideas. Edited October 21, 2011 by Av8fan
Kallisti Posted October 21, 2011 Posted October 21, 2011 LoL building and RAF Angel is very very tempting, may need to get more than just one...
John Laidlaw Posted October 21, 2011 Posted October 21, 2011 Thanks to Nobby, Fozzy and Dr. Jellyfingers, I want to build at least one as a cutaway. Curse them.
jacksdad Posted October 21, 2011 Posted October 21, 2011 As there is obviously a few Captain Scarlet fans on here, are any of you going to admit to fancying any of the Angels?
AndyC Posted October 21, 2011 Posted October 21, 2011 As there is obviously a few Captain Scarlet fans on here, are any of you going to admit to fancying any of the Angels? Damn right I am! My fave programme as a kid - I wanna fleet of them piloted by Melody, Harmony, Destiny... Andy

AndyC Posted October 21, 2011 Posted October 21, 2011 I think Harmony works close by my office cos there's an advert in the phone box................................... I can only remember those three...were there others? This may end up the same as attempted naming of all the Tracy Brothers in Thunderbirds...a regular question in pub quizzes years ago) Andy

Paul J Posted October 21, 2011 Posted October 21, 2011 (edited) The above comments re finishing the model in RAF colours, well, I have already done that back in the late 60s'/early 70, when the very first issue of the kit came out!!!!!!!!!! I don't have the model any more but I painted it in the then standard RAF camo of Green/d.grey /light grey, blue red roundels and No.1 squadron flashes taken from the FROG (Hasegawa tooling) Harrier GR1. But it would look good in the modern colours though. Hmmm.... Maybe a good subject for a GB!! Any scheme you like! Edited October 21, 2011 by Paul J

John PS anyone old enough or willing to admit they watched "Supercar" then?
Enzo the Magnificent Posted October 21, 2011 Posted October 21, 2011 PS anyone old enough or willing to admit they watched "Supercar" then? Me. Although they must have been repeats. How about Four Feather Falls?
picard Posted October 21, 2011 Posted October 21, 2011 Fireball XL5 was my first intro to the wonderful world of Mr Anderson. First crush was Marina, Thunderbirds was sadly lacking on the babe front in my humble opinion, and then the Angels turned up, around my early teens, blimey! Followed by the UFO babes. Thanks again Gerry. Ah, the wonderful days of a sixties/ seventies chilhood pre-internet and digital effects.
AndyC Posted October 21, 2011 Posted October 21, 2011 (edited) Destiny Angel - Juliette Pontoin - French - Liz MorganSymphony Angel -Karen Wainwright -American - Janna Hill Rhapsody Angel -Dianne Simms - British - Liz Morgan Melody Angel - Magnolia Jones - American - Sylvia Anderson Harmony Angel- Chan Kwan - Japanese - Liz Morgan/Lian-Shin Damn it Steve - I'm impressed - Rhapsody and Symphony! Having the colours of the individual Tracy's too was just sheer bloody showing off, however! So...that's 5 interceptors to buy although I noticed the recent quick review in AMW and it only has the ID numbers for one! Spares box... JohnT Posted October 21, 2011 Posted October 21, 2011 How about Four Feather Falls? Now you are talking Enzo !!
