  1. Aoshima McLaren f1 gtr long tail

glad you are finally into this one.
  2. 1/24 Tamiya Mercedes AMG GT3 A very very nicely fitting kit. This kit is all about the outside. Its only curbside so I spent a bit of time on the cockpit, even though you cant see it. Had a couple of decals tear so be careful. Hiroboy carbon decals inside (superb stuff) Zero paints Metallic Grey (Matt) sprays nice, multiple light coats essential to retain matt effect. Zero paints 2K flat coat ( weird stuff, practice with it first! Again multiple dusty coats needed to obtain a matt(ish) finish) Included a couple of pics of the interior before the shell went on as its invisible after! More (higher res) pics in the flickr album if you are interested. DSC06952 by omgpainful

  7. Pocher 1/4 ducati panigale

amazing how they can charge an arm and a leg for the kit, do a good job of most of it, then skimp on pe for the big, very visible radiator. would have cost them pennies to put it in. Looks ace now though!
  8. Tamiya Ferrari 360

ca is hard, yes, but you dont have to leave it forever to go off , you can polish it to a shine and it wont shrink back. everyone has their own favourite Oh and dont tell anyone but I also use Mr surfacer a lot!! (1200 version here though) But , ( no one else can see this bit, its just between me and you right?) I didnt leave this long enough and a week later, after the paint was on, this shrank back to be (slightly) visible. this has never happened with ca. so when you do it, leave it for a good while longer than I did (at least a week ) before you paint over it to avoid disappointment. and maybe you'll also need more than one application!! Just sayin'.

  13. Tamiya Mercedes AMG GT3 1/24

hi Steve, never though about straining the paint, sounds interesting! its just packing foam from the box my watch came in cut to size to resemble the padding in the actual seat. The one in the kit is just a bare shell. good enough really but i couldn't help myself, you know how it is .
