Watched Elvis Costello in isolation from the Artists4NHS series and decided I needed to reacquaint myself with his vast canon of brilliant work.

Produced by Nick Lowe who'd been in Brinsley Schwarz the original performers of this song...

I've always preferred ELvis's version of this song...

Lastly, Elvis's cover of this country classic...

Lil Troy, Wanna be a baller. West Texas rap, real good easy sound, has a melodic backround track. A few good videos featuring other rapper's remixes of it to. Skinny Pat, Easy E to name a few.

The sheila was watching the telly yesterday evening when I arrived home, and she asked me about a song advertisers linked to a sponge cake add :analintruder: (outrageous! Me thought).

Sheila is not fluent in English, so she was unable to tell me what the lyrics to this song were, so she made me watch the telly with her - 02:00 in the morning until the add happened again.

This was it. I knew I had listened to this song before, even when it's not Metal. With the lyrics I looked into the song in Google and then Youtube; made the sheila watch the video and told her that the singer was Owen Wilson, and she bought it! :rofl2:

Catchy tune, ain't it?

Yeh, it is...

Cheers,

Unc2

PS: Poor sheila.
