F4U Corsair STGB chat

Recommended Posts

I'm not sure if i'll be able to make this one yet!

Looks like I'm up to my eyeballs in builds for next year already and we don't even know what the main GB's will be!!!

That said I'd still love to build an FAA or RNZAF one!

I have a Tamiya 1/48 Corsair I could crack into. In fact I'm doing one now that's almost done, but I can do another. In fact, an 'in-flight' could be in order.

When does this start again?

Thom

Good afternoon Thom

This Gb will start on 13th February 2016 until 11th May 2016 ..

In general once a Gb is officially "accepted" you can find the date at first page of the thread ..

Hi, just seen this GB... doh...

Can you add me to the list, please?

I try a GB every year and for some weird reason I never finish them... So I'll try again to break the curse!

Hi guys, we're now up to 42 participants. I would like to ask if one of you all would consider stepping up to help me host this GB, as it's getting a tad big now.

Well it would appear that this week a hasegawa corsair somehow fell on the door mat this week.... My wife was surprised! Especially as she was surprised to find the eduard hellcat drop by the day before.... Must change eBay to my work address!

A set of transfers for an FAA version are coming my way as well.... There really is no excuse not to?!

Rob

(All this is cookies fault, apart from the hellcat... Mr P is to blame there...)

Do you have a friend near you in your French outpost?? My father in law has a very cunning mind and gets his mates to send their eBay purchases to him and his to them....then they all meet at the pub on Friday and swap.....I just need to make sure I have friends by the time a retire and I am sorted!

Also cheers for co hosting John!

Clever bugger he is... The only issue being that if someone else buys a bunch of stuff (kits or otherwise) you're the one who gets in trouble with SWMBO...

Why not, the more the merrier.

Don't worry Rob, I have a friend who goes back to the UK two or three times a year with a camper van and he brings back things for me. He just has to make sure his SWMBO doesn't see them and tell my SWMBO. Isn't life complicated?
