  1. That,Sir,is superb work! Hard to believe they are 1/72! :thumbsup2:
  2. Nice photos! I have never seen wing tanks on an avenger before! Of course I haven't been looking very hard either. Do you have any more shots of the Hind? That looks to be an attractive paint scheme on that one.
  3. Agreed, nice shots! ! Question, on the 9th photo down on the training missle. Those are strange looking fins! I have never seen that before. Is that a Homegrown version of a sidewinder?
  4. Very nice work ! I like the more common folk jobs rather than the flashy paint schemes on jet aircraft. Would it be possible to get a couple of pictures outdoors in more natural light? I would like to see the colors on your splendid paint job better.
  5. Another excellent build! I like the scheme. Did you paint the green on the nose or was it decal? Looks nice either way!
  6. 1/72? Really? That looks stunning! Your paintwork is very nice and it's overall appeal is awe inspiring!
  7. That looks great! How did you achieve the sealant on the canopy? it looks perfect!
  8. Top notch and beautiful build! Very well done!
  9. Steve, I am in awe of the hand painted yellow on the cowls! Simply perfect!
  10. Thanks Warhawk! The first picture is definitely the best shot I've seen of the area in question. Now it seems that I can say the cover/door is not flat. Isn't the first picture a Yak 9k/T? Wow those panels on the nose are ill fitting! Anyone else?
  11. I was searching through my meager Yak-9 references in order to brush up for a build and I had some questions about the Yak-9DD square wing root intakes.I have noticed in some pictures that there is some sort of door/cover blocking the root intakes and it doesn't seem to matter whether the engine is running or not. Does anyone here have any god pictures or reference for this? I have searched the internet but all the pictures I find are small and grainy and I can only tell that something is there. My main questions are thus: Is the intake covered by a door that is operated by the pilot, or is it a plug that is used by the ground crew to block it off? If it is part of the aircraft does it rotate into position or it it a flap? This seems to only apply to the rectangular root intakes. Here is a link to the best picture of the cover I can find: http://www.airpages.ru/img/yak9_1.jpg
  12. I like both versions! I think it takes a lot of guts to strip a finished model to repaint. I like it!
  13. I suppose, if I had thought it through I would have realized that floats won't work too well in the Arctic!
  14. When questions are posted like this I am always amazed at the wealth of information offered by others. I like reading them and find them most informative but I also feel like all I could add would look something like: Uh....... it looks like some kinda green and brown and blue color..... probably painted on....... Seriously, you guys are very knowledgeable!
  15. That's a very involved looking project! Nice work! Keep going, that will be one nice looking plane when you are finished. What color is the arctic scheme?
  16. you're a better modeller than I am! I didn't even attempt to build this kit. I like your build! I thought I saw somewhere that Eduard (?) was going to do a new tool Tempest soon.
  17. That looks very nice! I really like the weathering you have done ! Great work!
  18. It almost appears as if they shortened a standard wing one station further out than what is more commonly seen. Just a thought .
  19. Your cockpit looks fabulous! Super nice work!
  20. I can't help it! I laugh every time I look at these pictures!!
  21. Brilliant, simply brilliant! That Garfield had me in stitches laughing! It's not often you get to laugh at someones modeling efforts without hurting their feelings, Well done!
  22. What a nice build! The detail is amazing and the paint work is spot on! Is that the Eduard engine set? That zero looks really nice too!
