Battleship Bismarck by Trumpeter 1:200

Hi Joelle, your build is amazing, I normally build Aircraft and Motorcycle models, but I've wanted to do a big ship for an age, but have never had the space I've recently finished a new outbuilding for my hobbies (Modelling and restoring classic Japanese Motorcycles) So I finally have the space to do one. I've just secured the kit for a great deal and am awaiting delivery of the detail kit in the next few weeks. Thank you for the inspiration. Regards Rob -
Well Thunderbolt in Swedish is apparently Viggen, personally behind an EE Lightning that would be a perfect release.

Remember Thunderbolt is also Swedish for Viggen…………….

We need some enterprising decal company to release some 633 SQN sets with the fake damage on the rudder, now looking for a ME108 kit to make my own dog fight double..... -

Always thought a large scale maybe 24th Mallard, or Flying Scotsman, it's not as if they won't have the correct information Or 53rd scale Scrugg's Wonderplane MKV But I'd settle for either a 24th Frightning or Spey Toom....... -
1/72 - de Havilland Mosquito (two-stage variants) by Special Hobby

Looking at the photo's of the clear sprue, three different canopies, one fighter flat windscreen one and two bomber/PR type canopies. Also looks like a bull type nose, as well as two different bulged bomb bays. So from the box I reckon NF30, PR32/34, and even a 633 Squadron film version, paint over the bomber nose add four dummy MG's. with the addition of a standard NFII/FBVI nose you could even build the never built FB-X which is basically a twin stage FBVI Well I reckon a few of these will be hitting my stash....... -

Jorgen, this is amongst the best modelling i've ever seen my friend, utterly stunning, I wish my father was still with us as he was a huge fan of the Auto Union GP Cars. -
RDM2 Special Night - your suggestions for replicating.

I know this probably sounds a bit OTT but back in the late '70's I was building Airfix's 72nd scale Mossie as an NFII but when I went to paint the exterior I found my Humbrol matt black was a thickened gloopy mess as I'd left the lid loose and I was out of thinners, so I looked for an alternative, the only thing I could find was some of my sisters nail polish remover! so I tipped some in and got to the correct consistency to brush paint It went on brilliant, but it dried to the most matt finish I'd ever seen, and looked perfect to my eyes, this technique might by worth experimenting with on some scrap plastic to see if it still works..- 44 replies

Old Airfix kit ... 1:48 scale Mosquito
rob replied to RaisingArizona's topic in Work in Progress - Aircraft
Interestingly the Tamiya kit has for me a glaring error, believe it or not the rudder is four scale inches to tall, it's easily sorted but it's there. Remember the Airfix kit came out in 1973 and it still builds up well, the mold is a bit tired, but I reckon you'll see a new 48th scale version in the near future -
That's an interesting snippet, must be the big Hurricane hopefully

I've seen another video angle, and unfortunately the B17 was in the Kingcobra's blind spot under its nose. a Tragedy for all concerned
